In order to prevent more thefts and robberies regarding the transport of goods by road,

the insurers have deemed it useful to draw up a list in which the main “Guarded parking

areas” and “Stop areas”, located in different regions of Italy, are indicated.

All places mentioned in the list have been inspected by experts of security, suitably

charged, which have collected the requested information, for each site, in the relevant

form.

This list - where you can find the indication, region by region, of the main stop areas – is

divided in two parts:

the first one includes the “Guarded parking areas” which, basically, have a watchman

and are equipped with a fence and suitable electronic prevention measures (anti-

intrusion alarm systems, closed circuit television, etc.)

the second one shows the “Stop areas”, namely the places not always fenced and

guarded, where it is possible to stop the truck also for quite long periods.

In the forms of the “Guarded parking areas” and “Stop areas” some useful indications

about the main structural characteristics (location, capacity, admission formalities, etc.)

as well as the services offered are given.

ANIA points out that this list, of pure reference, is not exhaustive and it is to be

considered as a support instrument and a kind of practical guide for the field operators.

ANIA cannot be held responsible for the information contained in this list as some of it

has been provided directly by the persons in charge of the inspected sites and since the

relevant characteristics and prevention measures could be subject to transformation.
