2. DESCRIPTION

The A109BF-100 Installation includes the following:

• A109BF-150 Forward Receivers Installation

• A109BF-250 Aft Receivers Installation

This installation is provided for ground handling purposes only.

System Weight: 3.8 lbs. (Total installation weight)

3. INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

It is the objective of this inspection and maintenance procedure to ensure that component installations are secure. Table I should be followed during 400-Hour / Annual inspections for system airworthiness or after the aircraft has been subjected to high vertical acceleration with blade fold ground handling equipment installed.

Elongation of the holes through the forward fuselage or tailboom skin at a receiver installation may indicate that overstress has occurred. This will require inspection of receiver installations.

3.1. Receiver Installation

3.1.1. Inspect all receiver assemblies for indications of stress, corrosion or cracking. Any components with cracks should be removed and sent to Paravion Technology, Inc.

3.1.2. Inspect each receiver installation for signs of movement with respect to the panel to which it is installed. When inspection indicates movement, the receiver must be removed and the panel to which it is installed must be repaired as necessary in accordance with approved procedures.

3.1.3. Inspect all fastener installations. Replace all damaged fasteners. Torque No. 8-32 screws to 8-10 inch-pounds.

4. COMPONENT REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

NOTE: Adjust aircraft weight and balance data (Table II) when components are removed or installed.

4.1. Receiver Removal

4.1.1. Loosen and remove the fasteners from the Receiver installation.

4.1.2. Remove the Receiver assembly.

4.2. Receiver Installation

4.2.1. Reference the applicable figure in this document, install receiver assembly. Torque No. 8-32 screws to 8-10 inch-pounds as applicable.

400-Hour / Annual Inspection* ITEM / SYSTEM INSPECTION REQUIREMENT

FORWARD RECEIVERS INSTALLATION (A109BF-150, Left and Right Side Installations, Figure 1)

Inspect for indications of stress, cracks, or corrosion. Clean and remove corrosion. Replace receiver, if necessary.

Inspect aircraft structure at attachment points. Evidence of movement will require receiver removal and inspection and, if necessary, repair of aircraft structure in accordance with approved procedures.

CLEVIS INSTALLATION (A109BF-150, Windscreen Installation, Figure 2)

Inspect for indications of stress, cracks, or corrosion. Clean and remove corrosion. Replace clevis, if necessary.

Inspect aircraft structure at attachment points. Evidence of movement will require clevis removal and inspection and, if necessary, repair of aircraft structure in accordance with approved procedures.

AFT RECEIVERS INSTALLATION (A109BF-250, Left and Right Side Installations at station 7808 mm, Figure 3)

AFT RECEIVER INSTALLATION (A109BF-250, Left Side Installation at station 7209 mm, Figure 4)

*Installation should be inspected if aircraft is subjected to high vertical acceleration loading while blade folding kit is in use.
