I thought I would do an update on the ‘Sleep State’ and ‘Unattended’ recordings I had commenced in December 2009.
The recorder I used for these was the Olympus DS40, VOC off, Microphone highest sensitivity, Stereo XQ Mode (ST XQ) 44.1kHz with overall frequency response 50 to 19,000 Hz. Automatic Timer set for daily recording so I did not interfere with any recording times.

Poltergeists are probably the most misunderstood form of haunting. The word “poltergeist” actually means “noisy ghost” in German. These entities usually remain invisible, making their presence known by throwing objects, creating commotion, making dissonant noises, or even producing odd, repulsive smells. Today, a poltergeist is believed to be caused by psychic energy
from one of its “alleged” victims, in most cases an adolescent.

Background Checks now available.ParaNexus is now offering a background
check service to members and non-mem-bers. Getting a background check on
your prospective team members to make sure they are free of criminal back-
grounds including theft and sex offenses goes a long way in reassuring your clients that you conduct safe and professional investigations. It
makes sense to check all members annually as well.
Our background checks include inmate records, arrest re-cords, court records, sex offender records, civil records, and more. All information is within the public record, but held in confidence by ParaNexus. We do not reveal who requests background checks nor the subjects involved.
Member Price: $5.00 each; Non-member Price: $10.00 each.
You will receive the results within 48 hours.
You can order background checks in the ParaNexus Store.Visit

Joseph Banks Rhine changed the face of Psychical Research (Parapsy-chology) when he took experimental research to a new level in the late 1920’s. It was then that he created the Zener cards, or ESP cards, as a new form of testing for Extra Sensory Perception.
ESP can be thought of as receptive psychic energy and can be simply de-fined as the ability to gain knowledge through means other than the five physical senses or by logical inference. ESP is broken into three categories; telepathy (awareness of information in the mind of another), clairvoyance (ability to receive information from objects or events from present time), and precognition (receiving informa-tion about objects or events in the future). Of these three, clairvoyance is the focus in basic ESP card tests, al-though variations of basic testing may include the potential for any of the three types.
