Matthew 9:16 / Mark 2:21 / Luke
5:36
No one puts a piece of new
cloth onto an old garment;
for that which is put in to
fill it up takes from the
garment, and the tear is
made worse.

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city
that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Nor do men light a lamp and put it
under the grain-measure, but on a
lampstand. And it gives light to all who
are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men that
they may see your good works and
glorify your Father who is in Heaven.
3
Luke 7:41-43 There was a certain creditor who had
two debtors. The one owed five hundred
denarii, and the other fifty.
And they having nothing to pay, he
freely forgave both. Then which of them
do you say will love him most?
And answering, Simon said, I suppose
that one to whom he forgave most. And
He said to him, You have judged rightly.

Luke 12:42-48 And the Lord said, Who then is that
faithful and wise steward whom his
lord shall set over his house servants,
to give them their portion of food in
season?
Blessed is that servant when his lord
comes and finds him so doing. Truly I
say to you that he will set him over all
his possessions.

2. But if that servant says in his heart,
My lord delays his coming, and shall
begin to beat the male servants and
women servants, and to eat and drink
and to be drunk, the lord of that
servant will come in a day when he
does not expect, and at an hour when
he does not know. And he will cut him
apart, and will appoint him his portion
with the unbelievers.
3. And that servant who knew his lord's
will and did not prepare, nor did
according to His will, shall be beaten
with many stripes. But he not knowing,
and doing things worthy of stripes, shall
be beaten with few stripes. For to
whomever much is given, of him much
shall be required. And to whom men
have committed much, of him they will
ask the more.

1. Matthew 13:3-8/ Mark 4:3-8, 14-
20/ Luke 8:5-8, 11-15
And He spoke many things to them
in parables, saying, Behold, the
sower went out to sow.
2. And as he sowed, some seeds fell
by the wayside, and the birds came
and devoured them. When anyone
hears the Word of the kingdom and
does not understand it, then the
wicked one comes and catches
away that which was sown in his
heart. This is the seed sown by the
wayside.

3. Some fell on stony places, where they did
not have much earth. And they sprang up
immediately, because they had no
deepness of earth.
And the sun rising, they were scorched,
and because they had no root, they
withered away.
4. But that which was sown on the
stony places is this: he who hears
the Word and immediately receives
it with joy. But he has no root in
himself, and is temporary. For when
tribulation or persecution arises on
account of the Word, he
immediately stumbles.

5. And some fell among thorns. And the
thorns sprung up and choked them.
And that sown into the thorns is this: he
who hears the Word; and the anxiety of
this world, and the deceit of riches, choke
the Word, and he becomes unfruitful.

6. And some fell on the good ground
and yielded fruit, indeed one a
hundredfold, and one sixty, and one
thirty.
But that sown on the good ground
is this: he who hears the Word and
understands; who also bears fruit
and produces one truly a
hundredfold; and one sixty; and one
thirty.
