The fundamental basics of life consist of health, family and friends. All the other stuff really doesn’t matter. Gary Panter, like all of us, is facing insurmountable challenges in his life, except Gary Panter has cancer.
The long list of people in this world who have either suffered from this dreadful disease, or have survived it – all have a story. The story is the same. And their stories have echoed through the hallways of life. Each and every one of us has experienced this illness in some way or another; through ourselves, friends or families who have survived it or have succumbed to it. So, Gary is not alone.
What makes this event so unique is that Gary has friends and family who have been attentive, supportive and loving throughout his ordeal. Why? Because Gary has been a friend to so many people. He has touched so many people’s lives through devotion, respect, love and kindness. Anyone who has asked anything from him, he has given himself to them. Always putting others first and himself last. Well tonight, it is with great pleasure and admiration that we put him first.
The outpouring concern, love and affection that all of you have shown to Gary is simply enormous. Your kindness and generosity has touched Gary and his family so much; for it is through all of you that have helped make this benefit a true success. Your moral, financial and emotional support have all eased the burden of pain and discomfort for Gary and his family.
Those inspiring words about family and friends are just that. Our riches come from within each of us; always helping other people and putting those needs first. For without Friends and Family, we have nothing.
I salute everyone in this room for their kind hearts and caring souls. This would not have been possible without you. All of you have made a fundamental difference in Gary’s life. May God Bless each and everyone of you who has been a part of this wonderful event. Let’s all keep Gary in our prayers and thoughts with hopes of a full and speedy recovery.

ATLANTIC SHORE CARES Each year, Keller Williams Realty Atlantic Shore gives back to our community
in the form of fundraisers that are the heart of the Keller Williams’ culture in action – finding and serving the higher purpose of business through charitable giving in communities where agents live and work.
Shortly after the Northfield Market Center opened, a group of agents formed a KW Cares Committee and organized the first Atlantic Shore Cares Fundraiser. As you would expect, Gary Panter has been an active and contributing member of the KW Cares Committee since its inception. By nature, Gary, is one of those special people who is never too busy to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or bring a smile to your face.
It has been an honor to organize “Night of a Thousand Smiles” to show our admiration and appreciation for Gary Panter as a role model. He embodies the spirit of the Keller Williams culture where agents know that it’s more than real estate, it’s about giving back to the community and helping people realize their dreams.
