Who Should Attend

Attorneys, labor relations and human resources managers, union business representatives and other labor relations professionals should attend this one day conference which will focus on major issues under the National Labor Relations Act. The conference will present a diversity of workshops, some focused on emerging complex issues under the NLRA and others on the basics of practice before the NLRB. A unique feature of this conference will be the opportunity to discuss particular issues during “table talks” over lunch.

Institute for Law and the Workplace

The Institute for Law and the Workplace at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is a national center for research, training, dialogue and reflection on the law that governs the workplace. Founded in 1996, the institute serves as an intellectual home for the labor and employment law community, both in the Chicago area and nationwide. The institute pools the resources of leading academic scholars and the practicing professional community to train students and professionals, monitor polices and trends, and study issues confronting the labor and employment law community in a neutral setting. IIT Chicago-Kent’s Certificate Program in Labor and Employment Law is the centerpiece of the institute. The certificate program entails a logical, carefully paced sequence of course work and practical skills training that provides comprehensive, rigorous preparation for the field of labor and employment law.

Program LocationThe conference will be held at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, 565 West Adams Street in Chicago. Confirmation of Registration A letter of confirmation will be emailed to the address given on your registration form. If you do not receive an email confirmation after registering and before the conference please contact the Office of Continuing Legal & Professional Education at [email protected]. Confirmation of Attendance A certificate of attendance will be provided at registration. Cancellations and Refunds Written notification of cancellation is required. A full tuition refund is available if notification is received prior to May 16, 2014; 25% will be charged if notification is received between May 16 and June 6, 2014. No refunds will be granted after June 6, 2014. MCLE Credit IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is an accredited provider for IL & PA MCLE. This conference is eligible for 5.5 hours of IL MCLE and includes 1.0 hours of ethics credit (pending approval). The actual number of approved hours may vary from state to state. Who Should Attend

Attorneys, labor relations and human resources managers, union business representatives and other labor relations professionals should attend this one day conference which will focus on major issues under the National Labor Relations Act. The conference will present a diversity of workshops, some focused on emerging complex issues under the NLRA and others on the basics of practice before the NLRB. A unique feature of this conference will be the opportunity to discuss particular issues during “table talks” over lunch.

Institute for Law and the Workplace

The Institute for Law and the Workplace at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is a national center for research, training, dialogue and reflection on the law that governs the workplace. Founded in 1996, the institute serves as an intellectual home for the labor and employment law community, both in the Chicago area and nationwide. The institute pools the resources of leading academic scholars and the practicing professional community to train students and professionals, monitor polices and trends, and study issues confronting the labor and employment law community in a neutral setting. IIT Chicago-Kent’s Certificate Program in Labor and Employment Law is the centerpiece of the institute. The certificate program entails a logical, carefully paced sequence of course work and practical skills training that provides comprehensive, rigorous preparation for the field of labor and employment law.

Who Should Attend

Attorneys, labor relations and human resources managers, union business representatives and other labor relations professionals should attend this one day conference which will focus on major issues under the National Labor Relations Act. The conference will present a diversity of workshops, some focused on emerging complex issues under the NLRA and others on the basics of practice before the NLRB. A unique feature of this conference will be the opportunity to discuss particular issues during “table talks” over lunch.

Institute for Law and the Workplace

The Institute for Law and the Workplace at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is a national center for research, training, dialogue and reflection on the law that governs the workplace. Founded in 1996, the institute serves as an intellectual home for the labor and employment law community, both in the Chicago area and nationwide. The institute pools the resources of leading academic scholars and the practicing professional community to train students and professionals, monitor polices and trends, and study issues confronting the labor and employment law community in a neutral setting. IIT Chicago-Kent’s Certificate Program in Labor and Employment Law is the centerpiece of the institute. The certificate program entails a logical, carefully paced sequence of course work and practical skills training that provides comprehensive, rigorous preparation for the field of labor and employment law.

Program LocationThe conference will be held at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, 565 West Adams Street in Chicago. Confirmation of Registration A letter of confirmation will be emailed to the address given on your registration form. If you do not receive an email confirmation after registering and before the conference please contact the Office of Continuing Legal & Professional Education at [email protected]. Confirmation of Attendance A certificate of attendance will be provided at registration. Cancellations and Refunds Written notification of cancellation is required. A full tuition refund is available if notification is received prior to May 16, 2014; 25% will be charged if notification is received between May 16 and June 6, 2014. No refunds will be granted after June 6, 2014. MCLE Credit IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is an accredited provider for IL & PA MCLE. This conference is eligible for 5.5 hours of IL MCLE and includes 1.0 hours of ethics credit (pending approval). The actual number of approved hours may vary from state to state. Hotel Accommodations Hotel accommodations for the convenience of out-of-town guests have been made at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro.
