Sebastian Zielonka, PresidentISA Orange County Section(949) [email protected]

I hope August turned out to be a relaxing, yet entertaining month. The ISABeach Party, in Huntington State Beach, allowed us to work on our tan, soak in thewater, and relate with ISA friends on a different level. I assume everyone tookadvantage of the break from monthly meetings last month to enjoy the Olympics. Iwas captivated late into each night…Phelps with eight gold medals! Unbelievable!I’m still playing catch-up on my sleep!

We look to reconvene this month on September 10th, for an exciting PanelDiscussion on the merits of PLC, PAC, and DCS. John Gong, President of ICPDAS USA, Inc., will be the moderator for the panel of five experts. The meetingwill start at 5:30PM, instead of 6:00PM to allow for a lively discussion andinteraction from the audience. Please come early to socialize at 5:00PM, and to

enjoy some snacks, drinks, and the sponsor booths. I strongly encourage all to attend and participate withany questions or comments you may have. Refer to the details in the newsletter or OC website(www.isa.org/~oranc) for more information.

As always, if you have any topics you believe would be of interest for an upcoming meeting, feel freeto contact myself or any of the ISA board members with your comments. I look forward to seeing you allSeptember 10th.

1. Get a copy of each section’s written plan for 2009 (Businessand Program) and list of board members Due September 1st. Objective:Find out the health of each section. If needed, we will help section withplan and find additional board members. Share this information withall sections in D11.

2. Have conference call into each section board meeting beforeEXPO. Need possible dates, times and phone numbers from eachsection. Personal introduction, quick update, generate excitement aboutHouston Meetings

3. Attend in person one board meeting or function at each section(Except Aloha 2010). Build better communication between myself andeach local section. Learn first hand what is important to each section sothat I can take that feed back to leadership meetings.

4. Plan and develop agenda and activities for District 11 at Expoand delegates meeting. Use limited time together to share ideas, network, and team build.
