As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.
WelcomeTo Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org. You can also visit our welcome desk in the Welcome Center, located directly behind the sanctuary.
Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder and his wife will be standing next to the pastor following the service to talk or pray with you.
Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Kiosks are available in the Narthex and in the Children’s Lobby. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available to assist you.
Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-K through fourth grade during the morning services. Leaders will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Children in pre-K through second grade remain in their classrooms until they are picked up by a parent.
Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We provide a Mother/Infant Room (room 160) located in the Ebenezer Building behind the sanctuary, and the Geneva Room is designated as a cry room for parents with fussy children. Both rooms are equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.
Additional Seating Please see ushers for additional overflow seating.
We are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.

†The Call to Worship .............................................................................. from Isaiah 33Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you.
The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness.
The Lord is a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.
The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!
Come and sing a song unto the Lord,Oh come rejoice, lift up your voice and sing in one accord.Shout for joy to God who reigns on high,Oh raise a mighty song of praise, let all the earth reply!
Play the pipe and let the timbrel sound,Come strike the harp, let cymbals crash and raise a joyful sound.Let the earth in ev’ry corner sing,Rejoice, give thanks unto the Lord, our glorious God and King!
Sing hosanna unto our God and King,Sing hosanna, our joyful tidings bring!Sing hosanna, let ev’ry voice be raised,Sing hosanna with hymns of grateful praise!

(Sung by all)Jesus loves me, this I know,For the Bible tells me so.Little ones to him belong; They are weak but he is strong.
Jesus loves me, he who died,Heaven’s gates to open wide.He will wash away my sin;Let his little child come in.
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!Yes, Jesus loves me!The Bible tells me so.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ....................................................Psalm 145:8-13The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you. They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.
O King of Glory, we confess that our praise of your majesty has often been faint, our performance as citizens of your kingdom treasonous. While our lips give you glory, our lives seldom reflect your will, for we have surrendered to the enemy by our secret and known sins. For our treason you died, Lord Jesus; for our restoration, you rose again. Ride into our hearts with healing grace. Forgive what we have done and who we have been. Draw us closer to you in this Holy Week, that our eyes may catch the vision of your tears, and our hearts, the wonder of your grace. By the Holy Spirit’s continuing discipline, by your amazing grace and abundant patience, may we be loyal and loving servants of the King. Through Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

*‡The PeaceThe peace of the Lord be with you always.
And also with you.
Canterbury Choir
Away in a manger, where cows ate their hay,The Lord God of heaven was laid down one dayBy Mary, his mother, whose heart sang of love,While “Glory” and “Peace” sang the angels above.
Away on a hilltop, a place called “the skull,”The Lord God of heaven was hung on a poleBy all of his people and all of their sin,And all of their punishment fell upon him.
Away in a tomb that a rich man had loaned,The Lord God of heaven was laid behind stoneBy some of his sad friends who’d watched as he diedAnd wondered how God’s Son could be crucified.
Away rolled the tombstone and sin, death, and hell:The Lord God of heaven has done all things well,And now he has risen and us with him raisedThat we may forever sing songs in his praise.
