Hawkeye 1, the first exploratory well, was a gas
discovery, confirming the presence of an active
petroleum system in the SC 55 block and
validated the pre-drilling interpretation above.

Hawkeye 1 well, although a sub-commercial discovery, firmly established the presence of a petroleum system in the block, providing the impetus for its further exploration.
