Investiture Ceremony of HE Mr. Muhammad Zubair, Governor Sindh as Chief Scout Sindh was held at Governor House on 6th June 2017. Chief Commissioner PBSA Ms Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani Speaker Prov incia l Assemb ly B alochistan administered the Oath.
Mr. Muhammad Siddique Memon, Provincial Commissioner Sindh BSA welcomed the Chief Commissioner & the audience. He also presented a brief report on the performance of Sindh BSA.
In his address the Chief Scout apprised that he was a scout in his school age and appreciated the efforts of the Chief Commissioner for bringing up the glory of Scouting once again. He appreciated the development in the Youth Programme.
Ms. Rahi la Hameed Khan Durrani , Chief Commissioner, PBSA also congratulated the
Governor / Chief Scout. She also presented her vision for further progress of Youth through Scout Programme.
In her speech she focused on the Better World Framework and Emergency Response Training for all the Scouts.

On 7th June, 2017 Chief Commissioner, PBSA Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani,
Speaker Balochistan Assembly arrived at Kashmir House and have a meeting with the
President & Chief Scout AJK.Chief Commissioner, PBSA praised the momentum and performance of the Scout
Movement in AJK under the Supervision of Hafiz Tariq Mahmood, Senior Deputy Chief
Commissioner, PBSA. Matter of Mutual Interest & Promotion of Scout Movement in Pakistan particularly in
Azad Jammu & Kashmir were discussed. On the invitation Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan
Durrani ensured here visit to Muzaffarabad. It was also decided to have more youth
exchange programme / vists within the branch associations of PBSA.
Souvenirs were also exchanged at this occasion.

Korea Scout Association presented the highest Award
Hwa Rang for international key leaders to Ms. Rahila
Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief Commissioner, PBSA. A
three member team from Korea arrived Quetta on
17th June, 2017 and presented Hwa Rang for
International key Leaders Award in a graceful
Ceremony held at Provincial Headquarters,
Balochistan Boy Scouts Association.
Chief Commissioner, Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani in
here address thanked Korea Association and also
proposed Youth exchange programme for the youth
of Korea and Pakistan for better understanding and
mutual interest. Mr. Simon Hang-Bock Rhee,
International Commissioner Korea Scouts also
appreciated the home hospitality and sparing
valuable time for the KSA delegation.Mr. Abdul Qayyum Babai, Provincial Commissioner,
Balochistan BSA, Mr. Muhammad Irfan, Mr. Nizam
ud Din Mengal, Mr. Sabir Hussain Niazi, Provincial
Secretary, Balochistan BSA and Mr. Zahid Mahboob,
Secretary, PBSA were also present on the occasion.
KSA HIGHEST AWARD FOR THE CHIEF COMMISSIONER, PBSA
MR. IN KOOK KIM (FISHER KIM) FIRST SECRETARY EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA VISITED NHQ, PBSA, ISLAMABAD
Mr In Kook Kim , the 1st Secretary & Consul, Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Friends of Scouting visited NHQ , PBSA on 23rd June 2017 to strengthen the bond of Youth Friendship. Mr. Kim briefed about the activities of Korean Scouts and support provided by the Korean Government for the Youth Cause. Future Youth events were also discussed during the meeting.
National Scarf was presented to Mr. Kim as a token of his visit.

Honourable Prime Minister AJK Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan visited Campsite of AJK Boy Scouts
Association alongwith Provincial Secretary Mr. Abdul Samad Chishti and Senior Scouter Mr. Abdul Waheed Fitrat.
The Prime Minister advised the administration to make necessary arrangements for the construction of Provincial
Scout Headquarters of AJK in the fiscal year 2017-18.
Earlier Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief Commissioner, PBSA in her letter addressed to Prime Minister
stressed on the construction and development of PHQ / Youth Centre of AJK to provide safe learning environment
to youth.

VISIT OF KOREA DELEGATION AT PHQ, BALOCHISTAN BSA

Korean Friends Mr. Choi, Mr. Mun & Mr. Kim Visted Islamabad to strengthen the Bond of Friendship of Korea and Pakistan. To further strengthen the scouting relationship between Scouts Association of Korea and Pakistan Boy Scouts Association three member delegation visited Pakistan Boy Scouts Association’s Provincial HQ Balochistan BSA. During their visit they presented a friendship award to the Chief Commissioner Pakistan Boy Scouts and Speaker Balochistan Assembly Ms Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani during the special ceremony held at PHQ, Balochistan. Also Korean delegation visited Balochistan Provincial Assembly along with the National Secretary Mr Zahid Mahboob and members of Provincial Council Balochistan BSA. They met Ms Speaker and showed their full commitment towards different upcoming scouting activities and future possible participation.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES AT LIYARI
Rose Educational Society & Scouts Group organized Football matches during the month of Ramzan on their invitation Deputy Chief Commissioner , PBSA, Syed Abid Ali Shah, Mr. Abdul Mannan, International Commissioner, PBSA, Mr. Rizwan Jaffar, Commissioner Youth Affairs, PBSA, Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Secretary, PBSA and Syed Akhtar Meer, Provincial Secretary Sindh BSA & Honorary Treasurer, PBSA also visited the Road Grounds of Liyari and appreciated the efforts of Mr. Anwar Ali Bhatti for engaging youth in healthy sports activities.
These teams of small kids were named as Micro Football Teams of Liyari Karachi with charged spectators. Syed Abid Ali Shah, Deputy Chief Commissioner, PBSA thanked Mr. Anwar Ali Bhatti, Rose Educational Society for introducing real face of Liyari. Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Secretary, PBSA also thanked for wonderful experience at Liyari Karachi to witness the talented little stars (Messi & Ronaldo, Neymar, Bale...) Performance.

Korean Scout Association (KSA) is bidding to host the
World Scout Jamboree in 2023. The venue of the 25th
WSJ will be decided in August 2017 in Azebaijan
during the 41st World Scout Conference. KSA intends
to organize this Jamboree at Saemangeum, Korea.
The proposed Jamboree site is 10 square kilometer
Area located in Jeollabuk-do Province on the coast of
Yellow Sea. KSA is strongly supported by Provincial
and National Governments to host the event. Korean
Government has a plan to construct roads, airport,
port, electricity, water supply, drainage etc for the
WSJ.

IFTAR DINNER & KHATAM -E- QUR’AN AT NHQ, PBSA, ISLAMABADIftar Party At NHQ
Pakistan Boy Scouts Association and Tariq Pioneer
Scouts Open Group Jointly held an Iftar Party at NHQ,
PBSA on 17th June, 2017. More than a hundred Scout
Leaders attended the party followed by dinner. This
Iftar Party is the continuation of the Iftar Parties being
held for the last many years. Syed Manzoor Hussain
Shah, a senior Scout Leader lead the parties. All the
guests/attendees appreciated the efforts of Syed
Manzoor Hussain Shah for the continuation and
regularity.
Khatam-e-Quran at NHQ
Namaz-e-Traveeh is a regular activity organized in
the NHQ premises during the month of Ramadan.
Khatam-e-Quran Ceremony was held on 20th June
this year. Qari Abdul Quddus, a renowned religious
leader delivered a brief sermon on the occasion and
Special Dua was offered at the end of the ceremony.Sweets were also presented after the prayer.
PROVINCIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF IBSAProvincial Council Meeting of Islamabad Boy Scouts Association was held on 20 June 2017 at Islamabad th
Model College G-6/3. Meeting was chaired by Provincial Commissioner Dr. Tariq Masood. As per agenda of the meeting, after detailed discussions many decisions regarding Summer Camp, Takya, Abbotabad, Financial and service rules of IBSA were
made. Meeting was ended with a vote of thanks to and from the chair. An Iftar Party was also arranged at this occasion followed by dinner. DG Federal Directorate of Education Mr. Hasnat Ahmad Qureshi, Secretary PBSA Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Dy Director Program Mr. Usman Pasha, Mr. Asif Mahmood, Global SgS Coordinator and other dignitaries also
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
5th June, 2017 was celebrated as World Environment Day all over the World. Pakistan Boy Scouts also organized and participated in the Seminars / Workshop / Activities organized on this special occasion. A group of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association c o m p r i s i n g M r. A b d u l M a n n a , International Commissioner, PBSA, Mr. Rizwan Jaffar, Commissioner Youth Affairs, PBSA, Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Secretary, PBSA attended Seminar titled “ Connecting People to Nature” on 5th June, 2017 at Avari Towers Karachi.

Eid Celebrations were observed with traditional religious enthusiasm with the other fellow countrymen. Scouts all over Pakistan also celebrated Eid with scout spirit. Eid Gifts were distributed by Sindh BSA and Punjab BSA at Karachi and Multan respectively and best wishes were exchanged by the employees of National Headquarters. Chief Commisioner Ms.Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani also extended Eid greetings to all scout officials & dignitaries of the country.

EID CELEBRATIONS
MANGOES----SWEET MANGOES
Mango is considered the King of fruits and the fruit of Kings. The gift of mangoes is considered the symbol of plenty and tiding good things to come. Commissioner Special Initiative Mr. Zubair-al-Farooq Lodhi presented mangoes to the staff of National Headquarters on the occasion of Eid. All the staff members paid gratitude for the sweet gift of the season.
National Headquarters of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association is being converted on Solar Energy. PBSA has taken this step after the approval of the Chief Commissioner Ms Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani. This is a giant leap towards the cause of spreading the renewable/solar energy which is not only environment friendly source of energy but also a great need of the hour. This will be a showcase/
support to flourish the renewable/ green energy and resolve the power failure issues as well. Hafiz Tariq Mahmood, Senior Deputy Chief Commissioner PBSA and Mr. Zubair al Farooq Lodhi, Commissioner Special Initiatives visited the work of Solar installations in progress and appreciated the efforts towards progress.

TREE PLANTATIONS
5th June reminds us to have a good turn each day to make this Planet a better place by contributing some thing to the environment.
Pakistan Boy Scouts Association also organized Tree Plantation activities all over Pakistan.
A special Ceremony was held at Sindh Scouts Headquarters & Campsite where International Commissioner, Abdul Mannan, Provincial Secretary, Sindh BSA, Mr. Anwar Ali Bhatti, Commissioner Youth Affairs, PBSA, Mr. Rizwan Jaffar and Mr. Zahid Mahboob also planted trees.

INTERNATIONAL CAMP STAFF PROGRAMME - USA - JUNE, 2017
Each year, the Boy Scouts of America invite Scouts aged 18-30 from around the world
to come to the United States and spend the summer as an International Camp Staff
member of a BSA summer camp or Cub Scout day camp. From Pakistan Boy Scouts
Association Mr. Aftab Nazeer is rendering services as Camp Staff BSA.
