H. Farson, of Dexter City route 1, and William Charles Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wilson, of Terre Haute, Indiana, exchanged nuptial wed- ding vows Sunday, August 30} before the altar of the Lowell Metho- dist church. The church sanctuary was decorated with arrangements of fall flowers. The double-ring cere- mony was performed at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Charles Dowdell. The organist, Joy Robey, presented a suite of pre-niiptial music, which included: "I Love You Truly," "If I Could Tell You," "Love Is A Many Splen- dored Thing," "Because," "Oh Promise Me," "Always* and the traditional wedding marches. "Have Thine pwn Way Lord" was played while the couple knelt at the altar. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a whit', street-length, silk and cotter dress with tiny puff sleeves an 1 a very full box-pleated skirt. The dress featured a high neck- line with a tiny white collar and was trimmed with white lace and self tucks A tiny white feather hat with veil was worn. Her only jewelry was white pearl earrings. She wore white accessories and car- ried a cascade bouquet of red roses tied with white satin streamers on a white Bible. Mrs. Martha Farson, sister-in- law of the bride, served as matron of honor. She was attired in a light blue sheath dress with matching jacket with three quarter length sleeves. Mrs. Far- son wore white accessories with corsage of pink carnations pinned to her shoulderline. William W. Laurent served Mr. Wilson as best man. The bride's mother attended the wedding in a gray and white dress with red accessories and a corsage of white carnations. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents with approximately twenty guests in attendance. Mrs. Farson was assisted by serving the guests by Joy Dugan. The former Miss Farson is a 1957 graduate of Southern Noble high school, Dexter City, and is presently employed by T. Ken da 11 Mehlberg, Attorney at Law, in Marietta. Mr. Wilson, a graduate of Lowell high school with the class of 1957, is employed by the State of Ohio Department of Highways as a radio dispatcher. Upon returning from a wed- ding trip to the Smoky Moun- tains, the couple will reside at 220 Third street, Lowell, where their apartment is in readiness. Pauline Reed Completes Plans For Her Wedding The First Methodist church in Caldwell will form the setting Saturday, September 12, for the wedding of Miss Pauline Louise Reed, daughter of Mrs. Hazel C. Reed, of Caldwell route 6, and Mr. James D. Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Robinson, of Sarahsville route 1. Rev. E. Parker West will of- ficiate at the open church, double ring ceremony at 6:30 p. m. A half-hour of pre-nuptial music will be presented at 6:00 p. m. by Mrs. Robert S. Rudge, organist, and Mrs. Don E. Ziler, soloist. The bride will be given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Har- old Reed, of Dexter City. She will be preceded to the altar by her sister, Miss Helen Reed, as maid-of-honor, and Mrs. William A. Robinson, sister-in-law of the groom, as bridesmatron. Mr. William A. Robinson will serve his brother as best man. Guests will be seated by Leroy Reed, cousin of the bride, and Jerry Robinson, brother of the groom. Mrs. Byron Steen will register the guests. Following the ceremony, a reception for invited guests will be held in the church social rooms. Aides will be Miss Sandra Parrish, Mrs. Kenneth Gibson, Mrs. Byron Steen, Miss Mary Dennis and Mrs. Raymond Swartz. Miss Reed is a 1958 graduate of Caldwell high school and is employed by the Caldwell Clinic. Keithtown Girl Married In Home Ceremony, Sept. 5 Mr. and Mrs. Ard Chandler, of Caldwell route 3, are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Mrs. Betty Teeters, to Elroy G. Short, son of Mr. and Mrs. Em mett Short, of Murray City. The double ring marriage was solemnized at 1:00 p. m. Satur day, Sept. 5, in the parsonage of the Rev. Francis Shinaberry, of Byesville. Mr. and Mrs. James Cowgill, of Cambridge, attended the couple. The new Mrs. Short selected for her wedding a waltz length dress of powder blue peau de sole with white accessories. To the dress she pinned a shoulder corsage of pink and white carna- tions. The bride attended high school in Dexter City and is a member of the Keithtown Methodist church. She is employed by the Chicago Transformer Corpora- tion. Mr. Short is an employee of Robertson Heating Supply Co and attended high school in Mur- ray City. He is a member of the Methodist church. IVAN MITCHELL Double Ring Ceremony Unites In Marriage Belle Valley Couple The Corpus Christi Catholic church, Belle Valley, formed the setting for the September 5 wedding of Miss Ann Kathleen Sklenar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Sklenar, of Belle Valley, to Mr. Ivan James Mitchell, son of Mrs. Celestia Knicely, of Zanesville. The impressive double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. James A. Dirker,-pastor of the church, before an altar decorated with white mums and carnations J with ferns and palms on either side. The pews were marked with white satin ties and ferns. The wedding ceremony, solem- nized at 10:30 a. m., was pre- ceded by a half-hour of wedding music, which included: the church choir singing "Ave Maria" and soloist, Mrs. Inez Oliver, singing "Mother At Your Feet I'm Kneeling." A special bouquet of white carnations and mums were placed at the feet of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the bride. The organist was Mrs. Emelia Smith, sister of the bride. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, was lovely in a white slipper satin, floor-length, gown with a long chapel train. The gown featured a scooped neckline with bridal lace em- broidered with seed pearls and sequins. The full skirt was com- plemented by a large bow in the back. Her finger tip veil of pure English silk illusion was held in place by a crown of chiffon trim- med in pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carna- tions* and stephonotist with a detachable white orchid in the center. Miss Connie Sklenar, sister of the bride, served as maid-of- honor. The bridesmaids were Delores Mitchell, Elaine Tovel Neva MeCall, Janet Kagafas, Pat Yeager and Janice Cunningham The flower girls were Debra Zeleznik and Sheri Bailey. The attendants were dressed identical in a Paris Pink, street- length, dress with a full skirt of chiffon lace over taffeta. Their ensembles were complemented by a velvet bodice and a wide cummerbund at the waist line. Their headdress was of match- ing chiffon and net. They each carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations with rose cen- ters. The flower girls carried white lace baskets of red rose petals. Mike Zeleznik acted as best man. The guests were seated by Lawrence Macenko, Howard Mit- hell, Richard D. Buekey, How- ard Nau, Victor Sklenar, Jim Chicwak, and Don Cunningham. The ringbearer was Jackie Arch- er. The bride's mother was attired in a rose taffeta dress with mat- ching hat and black accessories. A corsage of a white orchid was pinned to her shoulderline. The bridegroom's mother wore a powder blue linen and lace dress with white accessories and mat- ching hat. A white orchid cor- sage was pinned at her shoulder- line. A reception was held in Smees hall, followed by a wedding dance, with approximately 400 in attendance. The hostesses were Mrs. Andy Spizak, Mrs. Ruth Demarco. Mrs. Duane Tip- ton, Mrs. John Reidy and Mrs John Wukelich. A breakfast was served to the bridal party and immediate family following the wedding in the church audi- torium. The former Miss Sklenar is a graduate of Belle Valley .high school with the class of 1956 and is employed at Champion Spark Plug Co., Cambridge. Mr. Mit chell, also a graduate of Belle Valley high school, class of 1955 is employed with the Cleveland Graphite Bronze Co., Caldwell. A short wedding trip was en- joyed by the couple. Merritt, of Caldwell route 1 was one of 36 degree candidates honored at the summer com mencement at Muskingum col lege, New Concord. Miss Merritt, a 1953 graduate of Caldwell high school, was the recipient of a Bachelor of Scienc in education degree. The com mencement address was deli vered by Dr. Carl C. Bracv president of Mt. Union college in ceremonies held in Brow Chapel, with Dr. Robert N. Mont gomery, president of the college presenting diplomas and con ferring degrees. DEATH NOTICES Patricia A. Oliver Services were conducted Mon- day for the still-born daughter, Patricia Annette, of Frederick and Patricia Archer Oliver, of Caldwell route 1, in the Herlan- McGaughy funeral home in Byesville. The infant was dead at birth in the Cambridge Community hospital on Sunday morning. The Rev. A. G. Riggle, of Pleasant City, officiated and burial was in the Buffalo ceme- tery. Surviving are the parents, Frederick and Patricia Archer Oliver; a brother, George E. of the home; grandparents, George and Delia Hashman Oliver of Buffalo and Clifton and Nora Archer of Martins Ferry. Edward T. King Edward T. King, 80, died at Guernsey Memorial hospital, Cambridge, Sunday after a long illness. A native of Noble county, he was born Nov. 5, 1878, a son of David and Melissa Murrey King. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frances Marquis of Cam- bridge; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Haines of Crooked Tree and Mrs. Martha Chandler of Aurora, 111.; a brother, James of Lowell and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Bundy funeral home in Cam- bridge with Rev. Floyd Gaugler officiating. Interment was made in the Marietta cemetery. Mrs. Florence Luke Mrs. Florence Luke, 58, of Caldwell route 1, died Sunday evening in Marietta Memorial hospital. She was born December 25, 1901, to Andrew and the late Mary Spence Needs. She was a member of the Crum Ridge Church of Christ. Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Harley of the home; two daughter, Mrs. Geneva Snider of Akron and Mrs. Eleanor Mason of Louis- ville in Stark county; two sons, Harold of Zanesville, and Rus- sell of Harriettsville; five sisters, Mrs. Ona Wharton of Roggin, Colo., Mrs. Dora Oldham and Mrs. Fanchion Smith, both of Cambridge, Mrs. Pearl House of Zanesville, and Mrs. Vinnie Luburgh of Woodsfield; a broth- er, Roy Needs of Pleasant City, and nine grandchildren. The body was removed to the Mallett funeral home in Stafford. Services were conducted at the Crum Ridge Church of Christ. Burial was held in the church cemetery. Ervin C. Tilton Ervin C. Tilton, 69, of Akron, a Noble county native, died sud- denly at 11:00 p. m. Thursday at the home of a brother-in-law, Tub Garvin, of near Three Forks. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Tilton was born May 14, 1890 in Noble county, a son of Joseph and Chlora Hupp Tilton. He was a retired Firestone Tire and Rubber company employee and a member of the First EUB church of Akron. Surviving are his widow, the former Losia Gardner; two sis- ters, Mrs. Charles Hutchins and Mrs. C. L. Porter, both of Cald- well route 3, a number of nieces and nephews. A brother, Ed- ward, is deceased. The body was removed to the Murphy funeral home where services were held Sunday with the Rev. Walter Brown officiat- ing. Burial was made in Dudley cemetery. Hiss Betty Lou Farson Becomes Bride Of William Charles Wilson At Lowell

Miss Betty Lou Farson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Farson, of Dexter City route 1, and William Charles Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wilson, of Terre Haute, Indiana, exchanged nuptial wed­ding vows Sunday, August 30} before the altar of the Lowell Metho­dist church.

The church sanctuary was decorated with arrangements of fall flowers. The double-ring cere­mony was performed at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Charles Dowdell.

The organist, Joy Robey, presented a suite of pre-niiptial music, which included: "I Love You Truly," "If I Could Tell You," "Love Is A Many Splen-dored Thing," "Because," "Oh Promise Me," "Always* and the traditional wedding marches. "Have Thine pwn Way Lord" was played while the couple knelt at the altar.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a whit', street-length, silk and cotter dress with tiny puff sleeves an 1 a very full box-pleated skirt. The dress featured a high neck­line with a tiny white collar and was trimmed with white lace and self tucks

A tiny white feather hat with veil was worn. Her only jewelry was white pearl earrings. She wore white accessories and car­ried a cascade bouquet of red roses tied with white satin streamers on a white Bible.

Mrs. Martha Farson, sister-in-law of the br ide , se rved a s matron of honor. She was attired in a light blue sheath dress with matching jacket with three quarter length sleeves. Mrs. Far-son wore white accessories with

corsage of pink carnations pinned to her shoulderline.

William W. Laurent served Mr. Wilson as best man.

The bride's mother attended the wedding in a gray and white dress with red accessories and a corsage of white carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents with approximately twenty guests in attendance. Mrs. Farson was assisted by serving the guests by Joy Dugan.

The former Miss Farson is a 1957 graduate of Southern Noble high school, Dexter City, and is presently employed by T. Ken da 11 Mehlberg, Attorney at Law, in Marietta.

Mr. Wilson, a graduate of Lowell high school with the class of 1957, is employed by the State of Ohio Department of Highways as a radio dispatcher.

Upon returning from a wed­ding trip to the Smoky Moun­tains, the couple will reside at 220 Third street, Lowell, where their apartment is in readiness.

Pauline Reed Completes Plans For Her Wedding

The First Methodist church in Caldwell will form the setting Saturday, September 12, for the wedding of Miss Pauline Louise Reed, daughter of Mrs. Hazel C. Reed, of Caldwell route 6, and Mr. James D. Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Robinson, of Sarahsville route 1.

Rev. E. Parker West will of­ficiate at the open church, double ring ceremony at 6:30 p. m.

A half-hour of pre-nuptial music will be presented at 6:00 p. m. by Mrs. Robert S. Rudge, organist, and Mrs. Don E. Ziler, soloist.

The bride will be given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Har­old Reed, of Dexter City. She will be preceded to the altar by her sister, Miss Helen Reed, as maid-of-honor, and Mrs. William A. Robinson, sister-in-law of the groom, as bridesmatron.

Mr. William A. Robinson will serve his brother as best man. Guests will be seated by Leroy Reed, cousin of the bride, and Jerry Robinson, brother of the groom. Mrs. Byron Steen will register the guests.

Following the ceremony, a reception for invited guests will be held in the church social rooms. Aides will be Miss Sandra Parrish, Mrs. Kenneth Gibson, Mrs. Byron Steen, Miss Mary Dennis and Mrs. Raymond Swartz.

Miss Reed is a 1958 graduate of Caldwell high school and is employed by the Caldwell Clinic.

Mr. Robinson is a 1952 grad­uate of Sarahsville high school, and is employed by the Cleve­land Graphite Bronze, Caldwell.

Keithtown Girl Married In Home Ceremony, Sept. 5

Mr. and Mrs. Ard Chandler, of Caldwell route 3, are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Mrs. Betty Teeters, to Elroy G. Short, son of Mr. and Mrs. Em mett Short, of Murray City.

The double ring marriage was solemnized at 1:00 p. m. Satur day, Sept. 5, in the parsonage of the Rev. Francis Shinaberry, of Byesville. Mr. and Mrs. James Cowgill, of Cambridge, attended the couple.

The new Mrs. Short selected for her wedding a waltz length dress of powder blue peau de sole with white accessories. To the dress she pinned a shoulder corsage of pink and white carna­tions.

The bride attended high school in Dexter City and is a member of the Keithtown Methodist church. She is employed by the Chicago Transformer Corpora­tion.

Mr. Short is an employee of Robertson Heating Supply Co and attended high school in Mur­ray City. He is a member of the Methodist church.

The couple will live at 506 Market street, Zanesville.

Double Ring Ceremony Unites In Marriage Belle Valley Couple The Corpus Christi Catholic church, Belle Valley, formed the

setting for the September 5 wedding of Miss Ann Kathleen Sklenar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Sklenar, of Belle Valley, to Mr. Ivan James Mitchell, son of Mrs. Celestia Knicely, of Zanesville.

The impressive double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. James A. Dirker,-pastor of the church, before an altar decorated with white mums and carnations J with ferns and palms on either side. The pews were marked with white satin ties and ferns.

The wedding ceremony, solem­nized at 10:30 a. m., was pre­ceded by a half-hour of wedding music, which included: the church choir singing "Ave Maria" and soloist, Mrs. Inez Oliver, singing "Mother At Your Feet I'm Kneeling." A special bouquet of white carnations and mums were placed at the feet of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the bride. The organist was Mrs. Emelia Smith, sister of the bride.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, was lovely in a white slipper satin, floor-length, gown with a long chapel train. The gown featured a scooped neckline with bridal lace em­broidered with seed pearls and sequins. The full skirt was com­plemented by a large bow in the back.

Her finger tip veil of pure English silk illusion was held in place by a crown of chiffon trim­med in pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carna­tions* and stephonotist with a detachable white orchid in the center.

Miss Connie Sklenar, sister of the bride, served as maid-of-honor. The bridesmaids were Delores Mitchell, Elaine Tovel Neva MeCall, Janet Kagafas, Pat Yeager and Janice Cunningham The flower girls were Debra Zeleznik and Sheri Bailey.

The attendants were dressed identical in a Paris Pink, street-length, dress with a full skirt of chiffon lace over taffeta. Their ensembles were complemented by a velvet bodice and a wide cummerbund at the waist line.

Their headdress was of match­ing chiffon and net. They each carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations with rose cen­ters. The flower girls carried white lace baskets of red rose

petals. Mike Zeleznik acted as best

man. The guests were seated by Lawrence Macenko, Howard Mit-

hell, Richard D. Buekey, How­ard Nau, Victor Sklenar, Jim Chicwak, and Don Cunningham. The ringbearer was Jackie Arch­er.

The bride's mother was attired in a rose taffeta dress with mat­ching hat and black accessories. A corsage of a white orchid was pinned to her shoulderline. The bridegroom's mother wore a powder blue linen and lace dress with white accessories and mat­ching hat. A white orchid cor­sage was pinned at her shoulder­line.

A reception was held in Smees hall, followed by a wedding dance, with approximately 400 in attendance. The hostesses were Mrs. Andy Spizak, Mrs. Ruth Demarco. Mrs. Duane Tip­ton, Mrs. John Reidy and Mrs John Wukelich. A breakfast was served to the bridal party and immediate family following the

wedding in the church audi­torium.

The former Miss Sklenar is a graduate of Belle Valley .high school with the class of 1956 and is employed at Champion Spark Plug Co., Cambridge. Mr. Mit chell, also a graduate of Belle Valley high school, class of 1955 is employed with the Cleveland Graphite Bronze Co., Caldwell.

A short wedding trip was en­joyed by the couple. They are now residing in Belle Valley.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were from Cleveland Columbus, Zanesville, Newark Cambridge, Mansfield, Freder-ickstown and Akron.

Janet Sue Wilson Will Wed Sept. 12

M i s s Janet S u e W i l s o n , grand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Carrel, of Macksburg, will be come the bride of Vernon Estadt son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Estadt, of Caldwell, on Saturday September 12.

The wedding will be solem nized at 9:30 a. m. before the altar of the St. Mary's Catholic church, Fulda. A public danc< will be held at the parish hall at 8:30 o'clock that evening.

Lamar Dean Dowling Celebrates Birthday

Former Caldwell Girl Gets Education Degree

M i s s H i l d a L u c i l l e M e r r i t t daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Merritt, of Caldwell route 1 was one of 36 degree candidates honored at the summer com mencement at Muskingum col lege, New Concord.

Miss Merritt, a 1953 graduate of Caldwell high school, was the recipient of a Bachelor of Scienc in education degree. The com mencement address was deli vered by Dr. Carl C. Bracv president of Mt. Union college in ceremonies held in Brow Chapel, with Dr. Robert N. Mont gomery, president of the college presenting diplomas and con ferring degrees.

This fall, for the fifth year Miss Merritt will teach the third grade at the McGregor Elemen tary school in Canton.

The Dorcas class of the Macks­burg Methodist church held their regular monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Eileen Jeffers, Dexter City, with her mother, Mrs. Minnie Carpenter as co-hostess. Mrs. Rita McAtee was devotional leader. Two hymns were sung, "Does Jesus Care" and "Love Lifted Me." Mrs. Mc­Atee chose the scripture lesson from John 15th chapter. Mrs. Mary Kathary lead the group in prayer followed by "The Lord's Prayer" in unison.

During the business meeting cards were signed to send to the sick and shut-ins. Bible questions were asked by Mrs. Eileen Jef­fers. The meeting was closed with the usual benediction.

The "Wonder Box" brought by Mrs. Gladys Lewis was won by Mrs. Eileen Jeffers. The social period was held at the close of the meeting with Mrs. Minnie Moose in charge.

Crum Family Reunion The annual reunion of the

family of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Crum, of Fairground street,

was held Sunday, August 30, at the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Crum, near East Union, with all members of the family present, including five daughters, one son and twenty-eight grandchildren.

A basket dinner was enjoyed at noon. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Elijah F. Crum, Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Heil and children, Dorothy Ann, Eddie, Darlene, Gary, and Paul, and Miss Brenda Dozer, all of Sonora route 1; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hohman and children, Neil, Barbara, Eddie, Danny, twins, Margaret and Marcella, David and Roseann ox Caldwell route 1.

Dudley Reunion The thirty-fourth annual Dud­

ley reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 6, at the home of Misses Lucy and Rachel Dudley at Hos-kinsville, with seventy-six in attendance, including four of the surviving family, of ten children of the late Joseph and Eliza Jane Metheney Dudley.

They are: L. S. Dudley of Zanesville; Pearley, Lucy and Rachel Dudley of Hoskinsville.

The usual bountiful basket din­ner was served cafeteria style at noon. Informal diversions and conversation occupied the after­noon hours.

held Monday, September 7, at the Cambridge City Park with a pot-luck dinner being enjoyed at the noon hour. During the after­noon social conversation and games were enjoyed by all.

DEATH NOTICES Patricia A. Oliver

Services were conducted Mon­day for the still-born daughter, Patricia Annette, of Frederick and Patricia Archer Oliver, of Caldwell route 1, in the Herlan-McGaughy funeral home in Byesville.

The infant was dead at birth in the Cambridge Community hospital on Sunday morning.

The Rev. A. G. Riggle, of Pleasant City, officiated and burial was in the Buffalo ceme­tery.

Surviving are the parents, Frederick and Patricia Archer Oliver; a brother, George E. of the home; grandparents, George and Delia Hashman Oliver of Buffalo and Clifton and Nora Archer of Martins Ferry.

Edward T. King Edward T. King, 80, died at

Guernsey Memorial hospital, Cambridge, Sunday after a long illness.

A native of Noble county, he was born Nov. 5, 1878, a son of David and Melissa Murrey King.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frances Marquis of Cam­bridge; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Haines of Crooked Tree and Mrs. Martha Chandler of Aurora, 111.; a brother, James of Lowell and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Bundy funeral home in Cam­bridge with Rev. Floyd Gaugler officiating. Interment was made in the Marietta cemetery.

Mrs. Florence Luke Mrs. Florence Luke, 58, of

Caldwell route 1, died Sunday evening in Marietta Memorial hospital.

She was born December 25, 1901, to Andrew and the late Mary Spence Needs. She was a

member of the Crum Ridge Church of Christ.

Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Harley of the home; two daughter, Mrs. Geneva Snider of Akron and Mrs. Eleanor Mason of Louis­ville in Stark county; two sons, Harold of Zanesville, and Rus­sell of Harriettsville; five sisters, Mrs. Ona Wharton of Roggin, Colo., Mrs. Dora Oldham and Mrs. Fanchion Smith, both of Cambridge, Mrs. Pearl House of Zanesville, and Mrs. Vinnie Luburgh of Woodsfield; a broth­er, Roy Needs of Pleasant City, and nine grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Mallett funeral home in Stafford. Services were conducted at the Crum Ridge Church of Christ. Burial was held in the church cemetery.

Ervin C. Tilton Ervin C. Tilton, 69, of Akron,

a Noble county native, died sud­denly at 11:00 p. m. Thursday at the home of a brother-in-law, Tub Garvin, of near Three Forks. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mr. Tilton was born May 14, 1890 in Noble county, a son of Joseph and Chlora Hupp Tilton. He was a retired Firestone Tire and Rubber company employee and a member of the First EUB church of Akron.

Surviving are his widow, the former Losia Gardner; two sis­ters, Mrs. Charles Hutchins and Mrs. C. L. Porter, both of Cald­well route 3, a number of nieces and nephews. A brother, Ed­ward, is deceased.

The body was removed to the Murphy funeral home where services were held Sunday with the Rev. Walter Brown officiat­ing. Burial was made in Dudley cemetery.
