January 7tb 1807. The boy Uhristian Renatus Haman was takwn to the Breth-

rens-house; he will learn the shoemaker's trade by Br. J!'. Christian

Danke.

Janu§ry llth 1807. The boy Ludwig Kampman was reoeived into the oongre­

gation.

gregation.

March 3d 1807.Theboy Christian Henatus Haman, Vlho Vias with Br. F'r'anz ChI',

Danke on Probation, and which was not suitable for bim, was given to Br.

Fuchs by Brother D. M. Michael, for learning the same profession.

,April 18th 1807. The single Gottfried Belling left us on:account of his ,

own marrlage. He dld not want to give up Catharina Brunner, who had not

been approved. by the lot; on the contrary he went to Justloe Miohler and

got married there.

April ,g4th 1807. :J:'he single Brother Abraham Heinke. who had oome last Oc-

tober with his ::arents to Nazareth from Lancaster, and who had been ap .. ,;,

pointed as teacher for the Hall, became sick at the beginning of this

week, and on~ccount of this he went to his parents, and this morni.ne; he

died.

April 26th 1807.To-day wasthe f\meral of bro. Abra.ham Reinke, to which

had CODle Br-. Loafler, G. J. Schmidt and Samuel Krause from Bethlehem.

In the evening was the baptism of the twins sons of Bro. and. Sister' Fuchsv

of which the old one was called Gustaph and the younger one Theodore.

J»ne 10th 18~ The boy Heinrich Herbst from the Pa.edagogium. who is tra­

velling to Salem to ·the store to Br. Kreuser, travelled to-day with Bro.

and Si,stex' Kreuser and the single Bro. Vogler, who bad been villriting here

for some days, there.

JulL,,4th 1807.1'he single brother Phllip Oehler, who had. lately arrived

in Bethlehem and who came from Neu-Diet cndorf in Germany, v isited us.

choir-festival. '1'he :3 youths had been received into the choir of the

single brethren by Br. van Vleck: Heinrich Beutel, C. D. Busse, Adam

Haman. In the afternoon at 2 0' clock there was a lovefeast.

Eeptember: 10th 180.1-,,-Our dear Brother William Lister', who for many years

had served this choir as Warden, and who had been living for some years

retircd, finished his course of life to-day in his 92nd year. - He was

of the E. C. to Easton,in order to learn there the cut nails. But after

a few days he returned again from there.

January 10th 1808. Br. Friedrich Danke, who man'ied in Emmaus the single

Sister B*rbara Ehrenhax'd, arrived here in Nazareth and moved into the

newly built house.

January 26th 1808.'rhe Single brother Brunner moved away from h:Ls fOrmer

master and went to his brother, where he wants to learn making windmills.

January.J1st 1808.'1'he over-seer committee came together and there was

spoken about the 2 iJrethren Giersch and wchneider, whict' had announced,

that tbey were j,nclined to learn by Bx'. ehristian Gierscb to file the

locks forLhe guns, which br'. W. Henry had accepte(l. Because Joseph Gier,,,:k;

had no work in bi,s proferssion here, it will be permitted to hlm, to learn

the fl1ing of gun-locl,s. But Samuel Schneider was told, that he should

stay with bis master, Cllr. Miksch, wbo has plenty of work and needs him.

ner.For a better convenience of the overseers, a door in the middle-wall

between the servant's room and the room of the boys was broken throu3h,

so that the overseer could live in the servant'§ room. - In the evening "

a meeting was held with the ove:cseers cf tho boys and tho pax'onts and mas'

teX's of tb.e bOYle), who aro living in the Brethren's house, and it was dis-

cussed about somo rules and. l'egulations, which the overseers have to lool,

after, that they are observed., and, the parents and masters had. been aSkedl

to co-operate wit,h the overseer's, and. to do their share, tha'L those rules

are observed by the boys. The paTents and. masters were willing to do theH'

par't; they also were glad, that some brethr',m had 'been found wi.lli.ng to

to accept them in love and that they should obey them and in all things
