EMPLOYEE BONUS CHECKS……During the last week of October I distributed the checks for the

Employee Bonus Program of 2013-2014. As my letter to you mentioned, we achieved the maximum of 5% of the salary you received in the last fiscal year. When you see any of the Directors of FSC, please thank them for this great benefit.

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS……. All FSC locations will be closed on Thursday, November 27, for Thanksgiving.

For the Christmas holiday we will be closed at noon on Wednesday, December 24 through Thursday, December 25.

Also, for New Year’s Day we will be closed on Thursday, January 1.

FLOATING HOLIDAY…….Please remember that you have a floating holiday which can be used

anytime between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.

FSC’S ANNUAL MEETING…….will be held on Thursday, January 8 at the

Boulders Conference Center in Denison starting at 9:30 a.m.

DIRECTOR ELECTIONS…….Duane Alff and Larry Gaul will be up for election at

the Annual Meeting in January. Both directors will be running unopposed.

THE ANNUAL FSC EMPLOYEE MEEETING…….has been scheduled for

Friday, January 23 at the Therkildsen Center in Harlan. The program will be similar to last year.

TODD’S KELLY IS A GRANDPA – Todd and Stacey Kelley’s daughter Marissa gave birth to their

first grandchild, Caylin Jade Bierl who was born on 10/16. Congrats to Todd and Stacey!

SHELBY FERTILIZER HUB…….The

wood structure is close to being done on the fertilizer building. The contractor is in the process of installing the tower system. The inbound receiving equipment still needs to be installed as well as the electrical.

ATLANTIC OFFICE AND SCALE…….The

scale has been ready at Atlantic for some time. The drywall has been installed, the electrical work is almost complete and the walls have been painted. The tile floor is scheduled to be installed next.

SUMMER INTERNS FOR 2015 by Chris Behrens….. Finding talented and qualified people is

a task that is never ending. Newspapers ads, radio spots, headhunters and employee leads are a few ways we have filled positions in the past. Another way we are reaching young talented people is through the FSC internship program. The search for the next group of interns has already started. We have attended career fairs at ISU, Northwest Missouri State, SDSU and DMACC. The fairs uncovered a whole host of talented local students looking to start their career in the agronomy field. This next summer we are looking to have five to seven interns. Most of them will be crop scouting

interns, reporting directly to location managers. We look to have a majority of the student’s committed by

the end of November.

PATRONAGE REFUNDS CHECKS FOR THE 2014 FISCAL YEAR…….will be mailed to our members around the middle of December.

The total of these checks will be approximately $670,000. The members will also be issued Class B and C Preferred stock in the amount of another $1,244,000.

ENERGY DIVISION PROMOTIONS…….are currently underway. FSC’s Bluegard Blowout is now

going on through the end of November. When a customer buys four (4) 10 packs of grease they’ll receive $8.00 off the total price. Also, the Cenex Gift Cards for Gallons promotion is available. Customers can earn a $50 Visa gift card for every 150 gallons of high-quality Cenex oils, hydraulic fluids, gear lubes, and greases purchased between November 1, 2014 and January 31, 2015. Both of these promotions have been popular with our customers in the past.
