She is survived by her husband, Charles Fetters of Rad- cliff; a son, Frank (Helen) Fetters, Vine Grove, Ky.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, eresa Hoffmann- Wolfe, Rochester, N.Y.; five brothers and two sisters all of Germany. LLOYD KENNETH “BUDDY” KASEY Lloyd Kenneth “Buddy” Kasey, 88, Irvington, Ky. re- turned to his heavenly Father on April 23, 2016 at Breck- inridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, Ky. He was born on April 13, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Lee Kasey and Mable Trent Kasey; a sister Maxine Kasey Mercer. He is survived by his wife Virginia Ryan Kasey; two sons Kevin (Leslie) Kasey, and Kerry (Martha) Kasey along with four grandchildren Landon, Kade, Ryan, and Lily Kasey. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, served in the United Sates Air Force, a member of the Irvington United Methodist Church and owner of Irvington Gas for more than 78 years. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed nothing more than being with people. Funeral services were held on April 27 at Irvington United Methodist Church. AMANDA RENEE ROE Amanda Renee Roe, 35, Irvington, Ky., died April 18, 2016. She was born in Elizabethtown, Ky. on June 30, 1980. She was preceded in death by her brother Shawn Hankins. She is survived by her sons Logan, Joseph Laurino and Landon Robert Roe, Irvington; her parents Bobby and Linda Roe, Irvington; two sisters, Teri Reuvers (Patrick) of Northampton, Pa. and Sabrina Rofkahr (Jerry), Hardinsburg, Ky., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was employed by Breckinridge Memorial Hospital as a CNA and Unit secretary. Her dream was to become a registered nurse and she was pursuing nursing school. She loved her job and was well respected for her work ethic. A very friendly and funny person, she always had a smile on her face. Her family meant everything to her - especially her two sons. She enjoyed sun, salt and sand and could spend many days at the beach. Funeral services were held at Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church on April 23. Burial was in the Mt. Merino Cemetery. Survivors include his lov-ing wife of 57 years, Erika Bowersmith; two sons, Al Bowersmith and his wife Rebecca, Glen Bower-smith; one granddaughter, Kristina Bowersmith; two sisters, Ruth Bowersmith,

Pat Hineman; two brothers, Kenny Bowersmith, Edgar Bowersmith, Jr.; a long time friend, Jim Cassel; and a host of family and friends.

He was retired from the United States Army, a veteran of the Vietnam War, a recipient of the German Occupa-tional Badge, retired from Civil Service, Fort Knox, Ky., and part owner of the Comic Vault, Radcliff, Ky.

Lloyd Kenneth “Buddy” Kasey, 88, Irvington, Ky. re-turned to his heavenly Father on April 23, 2016 at Breck-inridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, Ky.

He was born on April 13, 1928.

Jack Runnells Solar, 85, Eliza-bethtown, Ky. died April 24, 2016 at the Helmwood Healthcare Center, Elizabethtown, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Dorothy Medley Solar; two sisters, Mary Lou Garrison, and Ruth Joanne Cain.

He is survived by one daugh-ter, Ruth Evelyn (Ray) Bryl-ski, Fla.; one son, Richard Ed-ward (Martha) Solar; a stepson,

Charles Joseph (Joyce) Solar, Elizabethtown, Ky., 12 grandchil-dren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, James Edward (Carol) Solar, Calif.; a nephew, Ronnie Deason; a special niece, Pat (Tom) King; a special friend, Wilma Carter; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having retired from the United States Army and then retiring also from the Fort Knox School System. His memberships include: St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty, Ky., American Legion, and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

A prayer service was held on April 26 at the chapel of Cof-fey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, Ky. Rev. Kevin J. Bryan officiated. Burial followed in the St. Martin Cemetery, Flaherty, Ky.

Joyce Bassett Stacy, 61, Lincolnton, N.C. died April 15, 2016 at CMC Charlotte.

She was born Dec. 4, 1954, she was the daughter of Joan Peak and the late Benny Bas-sett.

She was preceded in death by her father, a sister Elizabeth Bassett and a brother Chuck Bassett.

She is survived by two daughters, Stacy (Scottie) Angle, Lincolnton, N.C.; Nancy (Matthew) Guy, Maiden, N.C.; a son Carl Womeldorf, Cherryville, N.C.; three sisters, Diana (Charlie) Tate, West Point, Ky., Rose Keith, Lincolnton, N.C., Rita (Alvin) Goatley, Hawesville, Ky.; a brother Leslie (Lisa) Bassett, Maiden, N.C.; six grandchildren Christopher Angle, Dil-lon Guy, Terry Womeldorf, Tyler Womeldorf, Breanna Blanton, Noah Guy; two great-grandchild Lillian Blanton, Aria Blanton;her former husband Lonnie Womeldorf and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret Lucille Thomp-son, 90, Brandenburg, Ky. was reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years and 10 months, Herbert Lee Thomp-son Sr., in their heavenly home on April 16, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1926 in Irvington, Ky. to the late William Carlie “Carl” Se-cuskie Sr. and Mattie C. El-

liott Secuskie.She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Her-

bert Lee Thompson Sr.; son-in-law, Logan W. Greer II; brothers, Carl Secuskie Jr. and Eugene Secuskie; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Benham Sr.

She is survived by four children; Rebecca Mattie Greer, Herbert Lee Thompson Jr., Gary Gene Thompson and David Lane Thompson all of Brandenburg, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Mary Francis Foor Benham; two nieces, Annette Secuskie Shields, Scottsburg, Ind. and Belinda Secuskie Miller, Greenville, S.C.; as well as many more nieces, nephews, and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted wife, mother and Christian who loved her Lord Jesus Christ and lived her life for him. She was a member of New Brandenburg Baptist Church, was a former member of Meade County Homemakers, former member of T.O.P.S., a U.S. Navy career wife and a graduate of Business College.

A Celebration of life service will be held May 7 at 2 P.M. EDT at New Brandenburg Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Yates officiating. Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Epling and a sister, Marianna Keys. She had many nieces and nephews. She was retired from Humana. She resided in Louisville. She was originally from Breckinridge County. Della JoAnn Hunt, Thorn-ton, Milburn 84, died April 22, 2016 peacefully with fam-ily members by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Milburn; and granddaughter, Melissa Miller.

She is survived by: two sons, Richard (Pam) Thorn-ton, Fla., Wendell (Patty)

Thornton, Ky.; two daughters Connie (Gary) Toolate, Mo., Sonya (Gary) Persick, Texas; two step-daughters, Marsha Howard, Ky., and Sue Milburn, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a lifelong resident of Hardin County for 55 years.

A memorial service was held at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, Ky., on April 27.

Jerry Wesley Mills, 67, Vine Grove, Ky., died April 20, 2016 at his residence.

He was born August 9, 1948 in Louisville, Ky. to the late William Ellis Mills and Ge-neva May Martin Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Mills of Vine Grove, Ky.; Children, David Mills, Robert Mills, Jerri-Kay Mills Rada-

baugh (Jeff), Kaen Loucks, Kristal Stout, James Mills and Gina Mills; brothers, Larry Mills and Gary Mills; “sister,” Carol Jennette (Russell) and 11 grandchildren.

He was a carpenter by trade, was a member of the carpenters union and worked for Lusk Mechanical for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 30 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
