Item #31

Summary of Question: Within the Division 27 specifications, there are several references to Air Blown Fiber and, specifically, the Sumitomo ABF product; however, there appears to be no air-blown fiber optic work shown on the plans. Please confirm that there is no blown-in fiber work included in this project. If the intent is to include blown-in fiber work in the future, then Sumitomo is inappropriately referenced in the specs as a proprietary product for this application.

Design Team Response: It should be noted that Section 255000 requires providing (furnishing and installing) cabling meeting the requirements of Division 27. As such there are sections in Division 27 which were left in place for direction to Section 255000.

Item #32

Summary of Question: There are several instances in the Division 27 specs where additional information is requested to be submitted with the bid proposal. It has been our experience that this type of information cannot be requested at bid time. Specifically:

• Spec Section 270000, sub-section 1.06(A): Detailed Bill of Material • Spec Section 270100, sub-section 1.06(A) System Certification • Spec Section 271000, sub-section 1.06(D): Installer certificates • Spec Section 271000, sub-section 1.07(E): Information for proposed "approved equal"

products

Design Team Response: These requirements have been deleted by Addendum No. 1.

Additionally, Page 075416-2 Paragraph 1.2/C specifically excludes wood from the roofer’s scope. However, Page 075416-3 Paragraph 1.3/B/11 assigns wood blocking to the roofer. Could this be clarified, please?

Design Team Response: The roofing contractor is responsible to purchase and install wood blocking associated with roofing work. Please refer to Section 061000 for blocking requirements.

Item #35

Summary of Question: Who is the manufacturer of the existing roofing system?

Design Team Response: The existing roofing system is manufactured by FiberTite by Seaman Corp.

Item #36
