COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATIONS

M E S S A G E

Congratulations to all the graduates of Cagayan State University! Congratulations also to the parents who, with their love and much hope, labored unconditionally for their children to reach this important milestone in their lives!

Graduates, today marks not merely a completion, but a step closer to realizing your

dreams. Graduation may be the end of a journey in tertiary education that was filled with industry, prayer and sacrifices; but just as the term 'commencement' connotes, it also marks a beginning to a new chapter in your lives.

Today, as you and your family celebrate this momentous occasion in your life, know

that we at the Commission on Higher Education are one with you Together with the University's administration, we have endeavored in efforts to provide you with the relevant and quality education that would equip you with the skills, knowledge, and the proper attitude to enable you to better face the challenges ahead. The graduation theme: "CSUans Gearing towards Continuous journey to ASEAN Integration" speaks of endless possibilities for those willing to take on the journey and challenge towards excellence and global competitiveness.

But while ASEAN Integration might have opened up avenues for Asians like us to participate in the global market,

we must be able to assess ourselves and see how we can take advantage of these promising opportunities given our realities. This is vision. Having the foresight to see vividly your goal, but grounded enough to know one's condition. Far from the knowledge of everyone, ASEAN Integration is more than - of unity, of vision, and capacity. As Filipinos, we need to help one another, and be an instrument of success for each other. As a community and nation, we need to have a common vision, and to move together in that same direction. We must be able to op one another's potential, to find our niche, and optimize our gains.

It is in this spirit that we encourage your young and spirited individuals, to explore your potentials Hone your skills

and talents. Discover, invent, and continue to be productive. For at the end of the day, it is in these struggles that we learn to appreciate life and our existence.

Graduates, in this age of globalizing society, each one of us has the potential to make things happen. Keep your

focus and never lose sight of your ambition. Our world is continuously transforming. Opportunities might not readily come to us, but these can be created, so rather than wait, let us do our best to create these opportunities not only for ourselves or for our own families, but also for our nation. For it is out of these individual successes that our nation can hope to rise to greatness once again.

With this, I would like to extend my congratulations to the administration, the faculty members and staff of the

University! Keep up the good work and together, let u continue in our pursuit of providing quality education to help uplift the lives of our fellow Filipinos.

Again, my heartfelt congratulations to the Graduates! Mabuhay pa kayong lahat! Mabuhay ang sambayanang Pilipino!

Congratulations, Class 2016!

Your years of hard work and dedication to your academic achievement have paid off. Indeed, this day is another season of thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest not only for the university but most especially, for all of you my Dear Graduates. This favors the premise that regardless of the challenging times of the past four or so years, God has been so benevolent to bless us another milestone of reaping the fruit of your labor, your graduation day.

Your graduation day marks your continuous journey in the challenging yet fulfilling facets of the ASEAN Integration, and the uncertainties it will bring. This will likewise create a more vibrant yet competitive economic interface that necessitates us to be more educationally equipped to survive and excel in the global scheme. The challenge is now at our doorsteps. We hope to rise above these challenges that will come our way.

As CSUans, you are now equipped with appropriate education, I am confident that you will surmount the challenges in this ASEAN journey and be at the forefront standing proud, leading our march in realizing our vision and mission of transforming the lives of people not only in the countryside but also in the entire nation.

As we gear up towards the continuous journey of this stirring milestone in building a stronger link to the global community, always remember to carry with you the ideals and principles inculcated in you by our beloved institution, the Cagayan State University.

I thank you for always believing in the nurturing and supreme capacity of our institution in giving the best education to every Cagayano youthin the country, that has produced topnotchers, achievers and became pillars in the government and industries. heights toward the attainment of our goals and aspirations.

Dear Graduates, I urge you to rise: be empowered to take greater participation in contributing development to our nation and be prepared to rally with us in forging a more equitable and fruitful future.

M E S S A G E

My warmest greetings to the graduates for reaching this momentous milestone in

your lives.

modernizing education. The integration of the country to the ASEAN community offers

both opportunities and challenges for the young graduates adapting to the cultural, social,

political and economic demands of the ASEAN Integration.

ASEAN integration will bring about greater mobility of human resources, demand on competitiveness and/or quality

of graduates and programs and greater regional cooperation on education and research. In response, our own University

should provide graduates with the requisite skills adaptable for the changing labor market. Challenging as it may seem, we

are hopeful and confident that you are academically prepared to face these challenges armed with the power of CSU

education that is responsive and attuned to the demands of the community. With your CSU Education, I encourage you to be

confident, continuously hone your skills, acquire new knowledge, be competitive and assert your rightful place in the ASEAN

world of work.

I wish you every success as you enter this next exciting stage of your life and career. May I also thank and

congratulate your parents and families for their persistent support, patience and energy they provided during your studies. I

meritoriously salute them for this remarkable achievement!

May your graduation be the beginning of your lifetime fulfillment. So I hope that you will find your own star and

reach for it! Godspeed.

Dear graduates,

Today is a victorious day to you, Graduating Class of 2015-2016!

Graduation is the best reward after a long economic and academic battle. At the forefront are your parents and benefactors who toiled hard to send you to school;

your teachers and your loved ones who inspired you. Thank you for trusting Cagayan

State University in its commitment to serving the people through quality instruction,

research and extension, despite its limitations.

The ASEAN region is witnessing the convergence of diverse cultures and economies as a result of more liberal

policies. Labor and capital become more mobile, hence greater opportunities for investment and employment. These are not

just mere policies though. Rather, it is a message of Cooperation, Synergy and Unity.

While your educational experience with Cagayan State University challenged you, the real battle is waiting. As

graduates, you are now offered with an array of choices to become better and fruitful citizens. This is now your opportunity

to transform your dreams and aspirations into reality, without forgetting your duties and responsibilities as a true Pilipino.

You shall not be anxious because you are a CSUan. You are equipped with the knowledge, skills and character truly fitted to

meet and match the challenges and opportunities of an integrated ASEAN community.

In a diverse yet integrated ASEAN community, you have a rightful claim because you are Competent, Self-

disciplined and Universally-adept.

Never stop dreaming. Never stop working, pursuing and achieving.

Good luck and Godspeed.

CSU HYMN

Sing with voices loud and clear

To our beloved CSU

Do her name and fame revere

Throughout the whole of Region 2

A trilogy of mission to fulfill:

Instruction, Research, Extension

In the minds of the youth

You instill the life of work and education

A university system so unique

By its very set up in the nation

By introducing new techniques

To improve and develop the region

Let us then rally to this song of cheer

To praise beloved CSU

Let it echo throughout the years

Long live beloved CSU.

CSU MARCH

Sa luntiang lambak ng Cagayan

Sumilang ang isang pamantasan

Duyan ng mga kabataan

Sagot, tuklas sa karunungan

Panatilihin ang pag-unlad

Minamahal naming CSU

Ang bukas namin ay hawak mo.

Dinggin tawag ng kaunlaran

lawakan

Buhay at bayan ay yayaman

Bathalang gabay ng CSU

Buksan, liwanagan landas mo

Lakad namin ay taas noo.
