PACQUET RACCORD TOURNANT (PRT) has been developing and manufacturing rotating unions since the mid 1970s. Previously working closely with steel industry professionals, the company has now developed a wider range of products thus adapting to new fields of activity such as food-processing, machine manufacturing, building, factory automation, sanitation, plastics moulding and many others. We work with many materials to optimize the effectiveness of the rotating unions we offer and provide our customers with technical suited solutions, whatever the conditions. Our standard products cover a wide range of industrial needs. However, if you feel that none of our standard products perfectly suits your application, we can also develop rotating unions on request, whatever the size, the number of fluid passages and the operating conditions. You must know that our offer also includes maintenance operations (PRT and competitors).In France and abroad PRT is your partner for business development in both local and international industrial projects. Swivel joint TP2000

Technical specifications:

This rotating union was designed for positioning or slow rotation use.

Fields of application: HP flexible hose connection, flexible hose positioning, hose reels.

The 90° output of his rotating union prevents loads between the shaft and the housing thanks to self-balanced inlet pressure. Positioning in rotation is ensured with Ertacetal® bearing bush (3).

Thread standard connection: male BSP conical and female BSP cylinder.

In terms of dimensions this product is offered in our standard range from DN08 to DN025.

Its O-ring (4) polyurethane sealing system and HD500 backing ring allow to transfer almost all types of media. This device is also able to withstand temperatures up to 80°C.

Standard material: steel with nickel plating or stainless steel.

The TP7100 series was designed for high pressure use and for positioning or slow rotation (less than 20 RPM).

Fields of application: HP fluid transfer, flexible hose connectors (nozzles), HP reels.

Dual ball bearing rotation (3) which allows more resistance to axial and radial mechanical loads.

Standard connection mode: male/female thread BSP cylinder.

This product is available in our standard range from DN08 to DN50. Other DN on request.

Its main seal with reinforcing back (4) allows to carry almost all types of fluid.

This rotating union can also withstand temperatures up to 80°C in its standard version. (other sealing systems on request).

This joint is provided with grease nipple (9) and air vent to allow leak detection and evacuation of fat excess.

Also available in steel with core hardening and chromate coating or stainless steel with core hardening.

The TP9000 was designed for positioning or slow rotation use (less than 15 RPM).

Fields of application : fluid transfer, low pressure flexible hose connectors (nozzles).

Please note this rotating union should not be subjected to external mechanical loads.

It provides low coefficient of friction thanks to a single secondary seal and a single row of balls.

Standard connection mode: male/female thread BSP cylinder.

This product is available in our standard range from DN08 to DN100 .Other DN on request.

Carbon/graphite-filled PTFE type U radial sealing system with stainless steel spring (4) which allows to carry virtually all types of fluids.

It can also withstand temperatures up to 160°C in standard applications (other sealing systems on request).

Equipped with grease nipple (8) and air vent for evacuation of fat excess and leak detection.

Available in versions : steel with dichromate plating or stainless steel.

The device presented above is provided with two rows of angular contact non-contiguous balls and separation ring which prevents contact between the balls while ensuring better rotation in the process. Both greater spacing between the balls and angular contact provide improved resistance to axial and radial loads on piping connections and to fluid pressure.

Dynamic sealing is provided by a mechanical seal using the operating principle of differentials. This allows to reduce both mechanical loads and wear between the two faces and thus increases the product lifespan.Sealing system with two O-rings (63.09 * 3.53) Optimum sealing ensured with Quad ring which allows static sealing and prevents dust and water from entering the system.

The rotating and sealing functions are thus isolated contrary to what the other products marketed offer.

ADVICE ON USE

Our products are machined and assembled to the highest precision.

They are designed to comply with the requirements of the applications defined in our catalogue. They must therefore be set up properly on your device. Poor installation, misuse or poor maintenance may cause premature wear of the seal and/or bearings.

Sealing is achieved using components which are subjected to wear. Regular inspection is necessary to take action as soon as leakage occurs; please do not continue to use a rotating union once you noticed leakage signs.Our rotating unions are suitable for many industrial applications. However if you feel that any product from our standard range matches your needs, please contact us and our R&D department will find the very solution.

Machining and assembly of P.R.T.™rotating unions are done with the greatest care. Each device is subjected to a pre-delivery test under pressure in order to ensure optimum quality and reliability.

Guarantee

PACQUET Raccord Tournant (P.R.T.™) rotating unions carry a 12-month guarantee delivery date or a 6-month guarantee date of installation. Our responsability is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective components. Carriage costs shall be borne by the customer. Guarantee on parts is only applied following inspection by a P.R.T.™ representative. Guarantee shall be nul and void in case of excessive use, temperature or rotation speed and inadequate fluid transfer.P.R.T.™ will not be held responsible for damage of your equipment following use of defective rotating unions.

Maintenance and lubrication

PACQUET rotating unions are greased, tested and ready for use when they leave the factory. The rotating unions coming without grease nipple are lubricated for life. Maintenance merely consists of routine inspections checking for potential leaks. When the rotating unions are supplied with a grease nipple, we highly recommend to use high quality ball-bearing grease (Orapi® 606 ou 620). Greasing frequency depends on rotation speed, temperature and general operating conditions.For any further information, please contact us.

When your rotating unions are provided with a mechanical seal, fluid within the device is necessary to ensure lubrication of the contact faces. You shall therefore please avoid using your device when fluid circulation is not involved in the process.

Wear of sealing systems is directly linked to the quality of filtration of the fluid being transferred. Please try to keep extra loads on the rotating union to a minimum and use flexible hoses.Please do not submit your rotating unions to undue mechanical constraints.
