Important Dates in June
June 3-5 ~ PKC Agility Trial,
Cornerstone Community Center
June 14 ~ Business Meeting, 7 p.m.
June 19 ~ Father’s Day
Recently, my dog Webster, a standard Long Haired Dachs-
hund, bred by PKC member Ronda Bermke has been busy
getting prepared for the role as a 'real live Therapy Dog.' Alt-
hough not necessarily related to specific therapy work, how-
ever helpful, he did complete all three titles; CGC, CGCU and
CGCA, proving himself as a real polished community gentle-
man. He has also trained, tested and qualified for his Therapy Dog registration with
Alliance of Therapy Dogs, formerly Therapy Dogs, Inc. Plans for Webster and I are
to proudly serve at the Brown County Library, hospice and memory care facilities,
Children's Hospital of Milwaukee, and local pediatric wards, crisis centers and the
VA Clinic just to mention a few. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a
non-verbal patient perk up and actually speak because he/she had a pet thera-
py dog in their midst. Equally as rewarding are those little children who are con-
fined to a bed, whose eyes get as big as saucers when they see a fluffy doggy in
their hospital room. There are big expectations of good things to come for our
Therapy Dog Team. When you see us at PKC, please ask about our recent travels
and experiences! We’d be very happy to share them with you!

Spring Agility Trial Equipment Move The Spring Agility Trial is fast approaching. On Thursday, June 2 at 6:00 p.m. we will be moving agility equipment from the Brown County Fairgrounds to the Cornerstone Ice Arena. We will only be moving equipment and not the gray matting. Our new mats will be taken to Cornerstone earlier in the day.
We are in need of volunteers to assist with this move. We will meet at the Brown County Fair-grounds at 6:00 p.m.
In addition, we will need volunteers to move the equipment back to the Brown County Fair-grounds on Sunday, June 5 after the trial is completed. The trial will end around 3:30 p.m.
Please take time to volunteer to help with these moves. The time you spend helping with the moving of equipment will be counted towards your volunteer hours. The more people we have the faster we get done. Thank you. Keith Rosin Agility Trial Chair
