D E P O S I T , C A N C E L L A T I O N A N D B I L L I N G

A non refunda ble deposit of $1,500 is required with the returned signed agreement. A second non refunda ble $1,500 deposit will be required 90 days prior to the Event. The rema ining a nticipa ted cha rges must be pa id in full 10 days prior to the Event. All payments will be applied to the final invoice tha t will be prepa red a t the close of the Event.

F O O D A N D B E V E R A G E S E R V I C E

Cascade Lodge adheres to all federal, local a nd sta te laws with rega rd to food a nd beverage purchases a nd consumption. All food a nd beverage served in public a reas must be purchased, prepa red a nd served by the sta ff of the Lodge. The Lodge reserves the right to cease Events without refund or confisca te if alcohol or food from a n outside source is brought into a ny public room or common a rea. Unused ba nquet food a nd beverage ca nnot be taken from the Event space. Under Minnesota Sta te Law, the Lodge is the only a uthorized licensee a ble to sell a nd dispense liquor, beer a nd wine on the premises. The Lodge will not dispense alcoholic beverages to persons under the legal drinking age (21 yea rs or older). The Lodge will request proper identifica tions (photo ID) of a ny person of a questiona ble age a nd refuse to serve those who appea r to be intoxica ted, ca nnot produce a n ID or a re under the legal drinking age.

M E N U S E L E C T I O N & P R I C E : Menu Pricing is gua ra nteed 90 days in adva nce. Menu selections for a n Event must be submitted to the Lodge a t least 30 days prior to your Event. Cascade Lodge provides buffet service only to a ny Event la rger tha n 24 people. Pla ted Events a re offered to weddings with up to 24 guests. The host must provide na me place ca rds a t each place setting indica ting entrée choice for multi-entrée events. Children’s a nd Vegeta ria n meal options may be added for a n additional fee. The Lodge will make every effort to accommoda te dieta ry, ethnic or religious ca tering needs; additional cha rges may apply. All food a nd N/A beverage is subject to 8.375% sales tax a nd 20% a utoma tic gra tuity. All Hosted a nd Cash ba r service is subject to10.875% liquor tax a nd 20% a utoma tic gra tuity.

M E N U G U A R A N T E E : Meal count gua ra ntees must be submitted 14 business days prior to the Event. Gua ra ntees ca nnot be decreased a fter this time. If the Lodge does not receive a gua ra ntee by the deadline, the maximum number tha t appea rs on the Event Agreement will be used to pla n menu execution a nd appropria te food orders. Should a ttenda nce be less tha n gua ra ntee, you will be cha rged for the gua ra nteed a mount.

W E D D I N G C A K E S : The Lodge allows groups to bring in their own wedding cake. Dessert pla tes a nd silverwa re a re included in the rental cost. Cake cutting service is ava ila ble a t $2 per person.

V I S I T A N D T A S T I N G : A complimenta ry two entrée tasting for two a nd a one night stay will be provided for the bride a nd groom. The tasting a nd visit must take place between two a nd six months prior to the event, a nd only a fter intial deposit has been received. Additional entrées may be ava ila ble a t a n additional cha rge.

F I N A L D E T A I L S : Menu selections, room a rra ngements a nd all other deta ils must be submitted to the Lodge a t least 30 days prior to your Event. You will receive a ba nquet event order (BEO) to confirm deta ils which must be returned to us with your signa ture. After receipt of the deta ils, the Lodge will provide you with a complete Ba nquet Event Order (BEO). A signed BEO must be received by the Resort a t least 21 days prior to the Event. The BEO will serve as the agenda for your Event.

L A B O R A N D S E R V I C E C H A R G E SWhen a priva te ba r is requested for a n Event, a $120 ba rtender fee will apply, if ba r sales exceed $500 (excluding hosted keg beer), The Lodge will wa ive the ba rtender fee. The Lodge typically provides one ba rtender for events up to 50-75 people a nd two ba rtenders for events over 75 people. Additional ba rtenders would be ava ila ble a t $50 per hour per ba rtender; this additional ba rtender cha rge ca nnot be wa ived. Ba rtenders a re required by Minnesota sta te law to sell a nd serve a ny alcohol (including keg beer). The Lodge typically provides 1 server for each 20 people for pla ted meals a nd 1 server for each 40 people for buffet meals. If additional servers a re requested, there will be a n additional cha rge of $30 per hour for each server. All food a nd beverage is subject to a taxa ble 20% service cha rge a nd sales tax. If the Event does not sta rt within 30 minutes of the agreed upon time or servers a re una ble to clea r dishes immedia tely following the service due to the host’s direction, additional la bor cha rges will be added to the final bill. All Event ba rs must end by 11:00 pm. Lodge policy does not allow pitchers or shots to be served a t group Events.


E V E N T S P A C E A S S I G N M E N T SThe Lodge reserves the right to inspect a nd control all priva te pa rties, receptions, meetings, golf outings, etc. being held on our premises a nd reserves the right to immedia tely termina te service or occupa ncy without refund in case of a ny viola tion of a ny laws, regula tions or Lodge policies. The Loge reserves the right to reassign meeting a nd ba nquet space to a more appropria tely sized loca tion in the event the number of people a ttending your Event decreases considera bly from your original estima te. The Lodge may substitute equally accepta ble alterna te space within the Lodge property if necessa ry. When outdoor functions a re being a rra nged, a t the Client’s request, the Lodge will hold a back-up space in the event of inclement wea ther if ava ila ble, additional fees may apply. The ra in call must be made no la ter tha n 24 hours prior to the Event or a fee may apply. If you a re not ava ila ble to make the decision, the Lodge reserves the right to cha nge the loca tion if deemed necessa ry to provide the sa fest a nd best experience possible for the Event.

D E C O R A T I N G A N D S E T U PDecora tions must be approved prior to a rrival for the Event. The Lodge does not allow open fla me ca ndles, glitter, confetti, rice, crepe paper or birdseed. The Lodge is not responsible for the retention or removal of a ny signs, ba nners, decora tions or other equipment used a nd not belonging to the Lodge. The Lodge does not allow the a ffixing of a nything to the walls, doors, floors or ceilings with na ils, staples, tacks, tape or a ny other substa nce unless approved by the Lodge prior to the Event. A fee will be cha rged to the group if adherence is not met. The installa tion a nd return of cha ir covers, bows, etc. is the group’s responsibility. The Lodge is not responsible for a ny wedding cake accessories, centerpieces or gifts. All items must be removed from the premises a t the end of the Event. Any items left a fter the Event will be considered a ba ndoned.

Room a rra ngements a nd set up must be submitted to the Lodge a t least 30 days prior to your Event. If you cha nge the room set-up specified on the Ba nquet Event Order on the day of the Event, a la bor cha rge will be posted to the master bill. Additional cha rges may be assessed for special set up, special electrical supply, moving of heavy items, etc. Additional decora ting a nd clea n-up time must be scheduled a nd may be subject to additional cha rge if outside the time scheduled for your Event. The additional decora ting time will not be gua ra nteed until 7 days prior to the event. You a re responsible for clea n-up of all decora tions/ boxes/ packaging, etc. brought in by your group. If excessive clea n-up is required by the Lodge, a la bor cha rge will be added to the master bill.

G U E S T R E S E R V A T I O N SIf reserva tions a re made by individual call-call in, individuals must call the Cascade Lodge directly a t 218.387.1112 or toll-free a t 800.322.9543. Based on room ava ila bility, you may wish to reserve (“block”) sleeping rooms for your guests. The Client is responsible to fill the reserved room block. There is a n 85% a ttraction cla use in our contract for sleeping rooms. Attrition cha rges may apply if the group does not fill a minimum room number. EXAMPLE: 20 room nights a re blocked. 85% of 20 is 17, therefore your guests need to use a t least 17 rooms or a ttrition cha rges would apply. All reserva tions should be booked by the cut-off da te sta ted in the contract. Any rooms rema ining in the block will be released 30 days prior to your event a nd made ava ila ble to the public. Any room requests a fter tha t time may be accepted a t the Lodge ma nagement’s discretion a nd will be based on ava ila bility. See agreement for deta ils.

L I V E A N I M A L SThe Lodge allows live a nimals inside the property in desinga nted pet friendly guest ca bins. Animals a re not allowed in the Ma in Lodge. All a nimals must be on a leash a t all times.

S H I P P I N G / R E C E I V I N GNo ma terial shipments will be accepted until five (5) business days prior to the event da te. Any packages shipped to the Lodge must be clea rly la beled with the orga niza tion, contact na me a nd da te of the event. All shipping must be pre-a rra nged with your Lodge contact prior to the items being shipped to the Lodge. All items left a fter the conclusion of your event will be considered a ba ndoned. The Lodge will not be held responsible for these items.
