1 Joint Use Field

Located one mile north of SeaWorld and one mile east of the Pacific Ocean, Pacific Beach Middle School is an International Baccalaureate World

School featuring beautiful murals and tile work situated in the heart of the picturesque Pacific Beach community. In 1951, the school traded places

with Pacific Beach Elementary School to accommodate the growing student population during the post-World War II growth boom.

Pacific Beach Middle Schools consists of 10 permanent buildings built on 13.8 acres. The campus features a two-story library, multi-use media

center, counseling center, renovated science lab and design classrooms, and a technology lab. A comprehensive Physical and Health Education

program includes a joint use field, courts, and a dance and fitness room. In addition, Pacific Beach students have access to a variety of indoor

and outdoor areas, including a school garden, a large auditorium, and a music and band room. A covered lunch area also serves as an

amphitheater where students gather during school and programs are held throughout the year.

Pacific Beach Middle School will soon feature an approximately 82,518-square-foot joint-use athletic field to

accommodate field sports, asphalt running track, and expanded parking lot. The field will be shared with the local YMCA.
