This was my original front cover image. It is a mid shot image of the featured artist 'Leah'. It is a mid shot as it displays both confidence, in that she is fairly close up, but also fear and a timid sense to the artist, that she is hiding something. This both fits with my music genre and contradicts it as she is displaying 'rock' like qualities in the way that she is approaching the camera 'head on', showing now fear and facing her demons. However she is hidden behind her glasses and is therefore showing a timid side to herself. As far as editing is concerned, the image has none. I did not edit the hue and saturation, nor did I adjust the position of the artist.

I used this image in my contents page. However this is what the image looked like before editing the hue and saturation, on both the whole image and individual aspects of it.It was important to me that I used models with a significant difference in height as I wanted Leah (the female model) to come across as delicate and inferior. This enables readers to identify more with the DPS article, as being able to see someone's inferiority visually can make the words written about them become even more powerful. It also relates to the article from Patrick’s (the male model) protective point of view.

I used this image for my contents page. It remained pretty much the same as it is here, except for the slight editing of hue and saturation. I also brightened the background in order to reflect the natural lighting better.I applied the ‘rule of thirds’ to this image, this is the composition of applying a photo to a grid of nine.I did this in order to emphasise the background of the photo as well as the model in it, I felt that this was important due to it’s message of ‘fresh’ and ‘new’. This is relevant as the model was casting a recently discovered artist.
