Teach/Learn Ch9 L4 I can perform probability simulations to model real world situations involving uncertainty
We could use a spinner with 8 equal sections and spin it fifteen times to represent 15 cereal boxes.

Based on our model and our simulation, we saw that we would get five #5 cards after buying (spinning) 15 cereal boxes.
You could also model this with a coin and a spinner.
This is another model to simulate buying cereal boxes that will have one of 8 different cards inside.

Based on our model and our simulation, we saw that we would get four #4 cards after buying (spinning) 15 cereal boxes.
After this activity (and help from students conducting the experiment), we watched 2 tutoring videos (the 1st adn 3rd) to get an idea of other types of situations and models.

iReady I can review and practice math specific to my unique strengths and weaknesses.
As you work to pass iReady lessons, take notes and work out the problems.
Use a white board or make a section in your notebook called "iReady Explorations."
The time we have for iReady is limited and valuable. Stay focused on passing the lessons. Do not play with computer settings or go to any other websites.

A permutation is a list (or arrangement) of objects in which order is important.
How many different ways to do your chores? 6
So there are 6 permutations
Where does order matter? And where are there "large numbers"? OR where do we need a lot of numbers?
