DESCRIPTION Potassium is a:
Light – soft
Silvery white color
It reacts violently in water
ABOUT POTASSIUM Potassium is not found in free nature.
It was the first metal isolated by electrolysis
Potassium (Potash) is mined in Germany, Utah, California, and New Mexico
It is an alkali metal
ABOUT POTASSIUM
Do we need potassium?
We need Potassium for our body, Potassium is responsible for our heart beating and the
movement of our muscle. It is for fluid balance in our body.
ABOUT POTASSIUM
The minimum amount of potassium we should consume per day is 2000 mg
This can easily be obtained by eating vegetables and fruits
Do not consume Potassium from salt such as Potassium Chloride, it can be dangerous for our life
These are some food with high amounts of potassium:
Bananas Milk Avocados Oranges Fish Dry Beans Peanut Butter Cantaloupe Mushrooms Spinach Potatoes Watermelon
