1Upon successful retention of the newly-hired PMETs for at least 6 months after completion of both the SME and PMET Workshops and endorsed by Programme Manager. 2For P-Max for Older Workers, PMET must be a Singapore Citizen aged 50 or above.3Companies that have completed P-Max/Max Talent previously will only receive $5,000 under P-Max for Older Workers.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) form 99% of all enterprises in Singapore. In today’s highly competitive business environment, a critical success factor include the recruitment and retention of talent.
P-MAX is a programme under the Workforce Singapore’s (WSG) Adapt and Grow initiative that aims to:
• Help SMEs to better recruit, train, manage and retain their newly hired Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs)
• Enable SMEs to establish better communication channels between supervisors and staff and to adopt progressive Human Resource (HR) practices (e.g. goals setting, performance management) for newly-hired PMETs within their SMEs
• Assist newly hired PMETs to better acclimatise to the new SME work environment and to encourage better retention of PMETs in SMEs

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
> For PMETs

> TRAINING SUPPORT
• Be a Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident who is keen to pursue a full-time career in an SME7
• Possess educational qualifications that are Diploma or higher, or employed/have prior work experience in a PMET position
• Completed National Service for a minimum period of 12 months or graduated a tertiary institution
• Be registered or incorporated in Singapore
• Be made up of at least 30% local shareholding
• Have an annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million or employment size not exceeding 200 employees
• About to hire or hired a PMET within the last 3 months (i.e. 90 days) prior to enrolment into programme, offering a gross monthly salary of at least $2,5006

The HR toolkit was especially useful in demonstrating to us how a simple but formalized system of effective goalsetting can assist in quicker on-boarding of a new hire. We noticed that with a more developed learning path, our new hires could understand their job roles and performance indicators quicker, especially through meaningful interaction during the structured monthly reviews with their supervisor. It has helped us train an employee who could be more independent and self-driven to achieve their set KPIs.

The P-Max workshop introduced me to the DISC Personality test, which gave me a better understanding of mine and my supervisor's working and communication style. This allowed for better synergy at work!
