Relationships First!! This week, November 16-21 we celebrate Restorative Justice week with our nation. Restorative justice originatesfrom traditions that identify justice as promoting the worth, well-being and interconnectedness of people with God, and with one anotherin community. At WCS we strive to “act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with [our] God.” This is about creating and nurturinghealthy relational communities where we commit to interacting with one another in a manner that upholds the dignity of all. In thisculture, when harm occurs, instead of asking “Who did it? What do they deserve?” we ask, “What has happened? Who has been hurt? What are their needs? Who is obliged to address the needs and put right the harm”? (Zehr, 2005). Living in Community at WCS, meansputting relationships first!! Mrs. Huinink-Buiter

SONG OF THE MONTH: Build Your Kingdom Here

1 Come set Your rule and reign in our hearts againIncrease in us we pray, unveil why we're madeCome set our hearts ablaze with hopeLike wildfire in our very souls; Holy Spirit come invade us nowWe are Your church; we need Your pow'r in us

2 We seek Your kingdom first; we hunger and we thirstRefuse to waste our lives for You're our joy and prizeTo see the captives' hearts releasedThe hurt the sick the poor at peaceWe lay down our lives for heaven's causeWe are Your church, we pray revive this earth

Chorus Build Your kingdom here. Let the darkness fearShow Your mighty hand, heal our streets and landSet Your church on fire; win this nation backChange the atmosphere; Build Your kingdom here we pray

3 Unleash Your kingdom's pow'r, reaching the near and farNo force of hell can stop Your beauty changing heartsYou made us for much more than thisAwake the kingdom seed in usFill us with the strength and love of Christ

We are Your church; we are the hope on earth C.C.L.I. #400245
