to measure student achievement Cite a few examples which have positively

impacted the system.

Formative and summative assessment is included in the semester system.

Formative assessment –

It includes internal assessment which is a means of evaluating the performance of

students.

Mode of evaluation for CCE (Continuous Comprehensive evaluation) is

conducted by different methods. The method is communicated to students well in

advance and time table for internal assessment is put up on Notice Board by each

Department.

Summative assessment –

This method is adopted in the form of practical and theory exam at the end of

each semester.

If a student does not get passing marks in a certain subject, then a further chance

is given to students to go for the exam again as the student is allowed ATKT

(Allowed to keep term).

2.5.5 Detail on the significant improvements made in ensuring rigor and transparency

in the internal assessment during the last four years and weightage assigned for

the overall development of students (weightage for behavioral aspects,

independent learning, communication skills etc.

College maintains complete transparency in the internal assessment.

The students are aware of the importance of internal assessments and maintain 75

% attendance in class.

The next measure is mode of assignment and score in CCE.

Weightage also depends on behaviour of students, communication and presence

of mind.

Page 44: P age SSR Government Digree College Chhapara, Distt. Seoni (MP)

Post-accreditation Initiatives

If the college has already undergone the accreditation process by NAAC, please

highlight the significant quality sustenance and enhancement measures undertaken during the

last four years. The narrative may not exceed ten pages. (Refer section IX of Guidelines for

Assessment and Accreditation).

The college was assessed by NAAC PEER team in 2007 and since then it has

undergone many changes for the betterment of the student, society and academic environment.

With the introduction of semester system in 2008, continuous evaluation of students was

facilitated and as a result improvement in overall results has been observed in recent years.

IQAC committee constituted in the college looks after the propagation of the academic

excellence, student support developing and inculcating research spirit etc.

The major post accreditation initiatives are:-
