LOGOS
Description : Design three variations of the samelogo for Homestead Ranch. One is full color,one is gray-scale, and one is white on a coloredbackground.
Programs used: Adobe Illustrator
Date: 21 Feb 2016
Objective: Create three completely different,
original logos to fit a company or personal imagethat will appeal to the audience. Do not imitateexisting logos or use previous designs.
Process: I first traced my picture using the pentool, then I colored it in and added text. I thenmade it gray-scale by using the proof color settingsto find the gray equivalent of my colors. Forthe third one, I made the blue background andchanged everything that was in color to white and
everything that was white to color.

Description : Spiritual poster with two imagesmasked onto one background image.
Programs used: Adobe Photoshop
Date: 14 Feb 2016
Objective: Demonstrate more advancedPhotoshop skills for layout with multiple elements
Process: After picking the quote, I found abackground I thought would fit with it. Then, Ifound a picture of Jesus to put on it. I masked theimage of Jesus onto the background image. Aftercritiquing, I found a different background andanother image which I masked onto it. I used themagnetic selection tool in Photoshop to get thewoman out of her picture.

Description :Two sided, Gate-fold Brochure.
Programs used: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
Date: 27 Feb 2016
Objective: Using a custom logo, set up and align atwo-sided, folded document.
Process: I first designed the logo using the typetool and the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I thenwent to InDesign and built my layout. Then I addedthe body copy, and the images.

Date: 6 Feb 2016
Objective: Choose a color scheme, take a phototo match those colors, then incorporate the colors
into the layout of a Photoshop design.
Process: I took a photo of my horse, and put it intoPhotoshop. I adjusted the levels of light makingthe sky look brighter, and put in boxes of color,and text into the document. I put my color schemeat the bottom as well.

Description Web page showcasing a logo I madepreviously.
Programs used: HTML and CSS
Date: 13 Mar 2016
Objective: Use HTML and CSS to design a workingweb page.
Process: I put together an html document withall of the content I wanted on the page. Then, Isimplified it, and made sure that everything wasspelled correctly and such. Then, I put togethera css document to make my web page perfect. Iused a texture for the background that I put intoPhotoshop and lightened it up, which made it thecorrect color of purple. Then, I changed fonts, andother colors. I also made the border around mytext a double line.

Description : Design of logo, and stationery forbusiness.

Date: 27 Feb 2016
Objective: Using a custom logo, design aletterhead for a business using a watermark.
Process: I traced baby feet using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I then colored it, added textand the lines in the logo. Then, I put the logointo Adobe InDesign and started working on thestationery. I made the baby foot watermark first,then I put the logo in the top of the page. I addedthe address and website, and added the purpleline at the bottom.

Description : Design business card for a business.

Date: 27 Feb 2016
Objective: Using a custom logo, design a businesscard.
Process: I imitated the design for the letterhead forthe business card. I made the back of the businesscard just the logo with the purple background andused the same design as the letterhead as the frontof the business card.

Description Event flier for a newborn basics classwhere all proceeds go to Nicu.
Programs used: Microsoft Word
Date: 31 Jan 2016
Objective: Learn to use only Word design featureswithout using any Adobe programs, includingPhotoshop.
Process: I scanned the image from a book, thenimported it into Word. I used test boxes to maketype and imported the image of the logo.

Process: I started with the headings. I then addedthe body copy. I made sure that everything wasaligned with something. I added the images andboxes around the texts.
