Addition of TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide to TITANGlyphosate 450 will improve knockdown and increase thespeed at which treated weeds develop visible symptoms ofphytotoxicity (compared to results achieved with TITANGlyphosate 450 applied alone), and give control annual nettles(Urtica spp.) and Marshmallow (Malva parvifora). For rates ofTITAN Glyphosate 450, refer to the appropriate label. Read andfollow all label directions. DO NOT apply the tank mix of TITANOxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide and TITAN Glyphosate 450 neartrees or vines less than 3 years old unless they are effectivelyshielded from spray and spray drift.

Best results are obtained when the hook leaf stage treatmentis followed by a further application of TITAN Oxyfluorfen240EC Herbicide when onions are at the 11⁄2 to 21⁄2 true leafstage. Apply TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide in at least100L water at pressures below 150kPa. DO NOT exceed 150kPa pressure because excessive cropdamage could result. Multiple treatments may be applied provided the total dosedoes not exceed 2L/ha in one season. For control of otherweeds, use in a program with other registered herbicides. Note: Can cause flecking, twisting or stunting of onion plants, although such symptoms are normally short lived. DO NOT apply in conditions of very high humidity. DO NOT apply to weeds or crops which are stressed byprevailing weather conditions, disease or mechanical damage.DO NOT use wetting agents or other adjuvants.

Apply after transplanting coffee plants or under establishedbushes. Use the higher rate when longer residual control (upto 4 months) is required. Best results are achieved whenapplied to moist soil, free of weeds with follow-up irrigation.

Coffee Refer to Weeds Controlled list Weed free soil 2 to 4L/ha

When seedlings are present, apply as a tank mix with TITANParaquat 250 to produce both knockdown and residualcontrol. Addition of a non-ionic surfactant should be used inthe tank mixture. Apply as a directed spray to avoid contactwith coffee plants. Mature established weeds must beeliminated prior to application by mechanical or chemicalmeans prior to application.

Weeds at the 2to 4 true leafstage

Apply to weed free soil either before or preferably soon aftertransplanting. Disturbance of the herbicidal barrier on the soilsurface by the transplanting process may reduce the length ofweed control. Use the higher rate for longer residual control.Apply as a directed or over the top spray TITAN Oxyfluorfen240EC Herbicide may be tank mixed with Simazine 500 toextend the spectrum and length of weed control. Applicationto foliage that is soft and has not hardened off and/or iftemperature exceeds 20°C may increase the likelihood offoliar damage to trees. Eucalypts especially. TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide has been found to be safeto commonly planted species used in forestry. Sensitivity ofless common species should be checked prior to large scaleapplication.

TITAN OXYFLUORFEN 240EC HERBICIDE • PAGE 5 OF 5

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONSTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide is a selective herbicide for the control of certainannual grasses and broadleaf weeds in dormant apples, grapes, peaches, pears, plums, apricots, almonds, macadamia, dubosia, tobacco, coffee, pyrethrum, winter cereals,tropical/sub tropical crops, brassicas, onions, Eucalyptus and Pinus spp. and otherforestry trees used in forestry applied either to a weed free soil or to seedling weeds atthe 4 to 6 true leaf stage.TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide applied to well prepared weed free soil should not bedisturbed or incorporated after application. Weed control for up to 6 months can beexpected, but spot treatment with knockdown herbicides, of escape weeds and perennialgrasses may be necessary. When TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide is applied to seedling weeds at the 4 to 6 trueleaf stage a non-ionic surfactant such as BS 1000 should be added at recommendedrates to improve activity.TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide can also be utilised at low rates to improve the weedspectrum of knockdown herbicides. Duboisia seedlings and mature plants will tolerate“over the top” applications. Eucalypt and pine transplants and established trees cantolerate “over the top” applications.RESISTANT WEEDS WARNINGTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide is a member of thediphenyl ether group of herbicides. The mode of action ofTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide is to inhibit protoporphrinogen oxidase. For weedresistance management, TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide is a group G herbicide. Somenaturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide andother group G herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weedpopulation. The resistant weeds can eventually dominate the weed population if theseherbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by TITANOxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide or other group G herbicides.Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, TITAN AG PtyLtd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure ofTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide to control resistant weeds.TIMINGResidual: For optimum residual weed control TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide shouldbe applied to the soil surface prior to weed emergence after all other agriculturaloperations have been completed, such as mechanical cultivation and re-shaping ofirrigation furrows. The area should be left undisturbed during the time period for whichweed control is desired. Post emergence weed control: For optimum post-emergence weed control TITANOxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide + glyphosate tank mixes should be applied to smallseedlings up to 4-6 true leaf stage. Use of a non-ionic surfactant, such as BS 1000 isrecommended to improve activity. Weeds should be actively growing, free from stress(drought, cold, insect attack, nutrient deficiency). Cultivate after treatment and prior to orat planting is beneficial for final fallow.MIXINGShake well before use. When using TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide alone, fill thespray tank, at least one-third full with clean water, add the recommended amount of TitanOxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide while the pump and agitator are running, then completefilling the spray tank. A non-ionic surfactant, if required by label directions, should beadded near the end of the filling process to minimise foaming. When tank mixing withSurflan 500 or Devrinol, add to one-third filled tank, then the TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240ECHerbicide during the filling operation. Maintain agitation during mixing and until sprayingis completed. When tank mixing with TITAN Glyphosate 450 or TITAN Glyphosate 360, TITAN Paraquat250, add these after TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide during the filling operation. Whenusing TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide in mixtures always refer to the appropriate labeland read and follow all label directions.APPLICATIONTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide should be applied as a ground spray directed at thebase of the crop plants. The spray mixture should be applied evenly with a carefullycalibrated, standard low pressure herbicide sprayer with a flat fan or hollow cone nozzle. When seedling weeds are present ensure thorough coverage of their foliage is requiredto obtain the maximum knockdown effect. Ensure both the weed foliage and the soilsurface are sprayed. When applying to bare soil use 250 to 500L of water/ha.For application to seedling weeds (4 to 6 leaf stage) use 100 to 1,350L/ha. Use highervolumes for high weed density.CROP SAFETYTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide may be applied as directed spray around dormantpeach, plum, apricot, almond, apple and pear trees and grape vines of all ages whenapplied at rates of less than 1.0L/ha. When applied at 3.0L/ha and above, the trees andgrape vines should be at least 3 years of age.DO NOT apply TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide once budswell has occurred whenusing rates greater than 1.0L/ha. Duboisia seedlings and mature plants will tolerate ‘over the top’ applications of TITANOxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide. When using the 75mL/ha rate, TITAN Oxyfluorfen 240ECHerbicide may be applied in directed spray prior to sowing winter cereals.COMPATIBILITYTITAN Oxyfluorfen 240EC Herbicide is compatible with TITAN Glyphosate 450, TITANGlyphosate 360, Surflan* 500, Reglone*, TITAN EOS and TITAN Paraquat 250.RE-ENTRY PERIODDO NOT allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. if prior entry is necessary, wear chemical resistant footwear.PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTSDO NOT apply under weather condition, or from spraying equipment that may cause sprayto drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands or pastures.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCKUse with care when applying in areas frequented by stock.PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENTThis product is highly toxic to wildlife and fish. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers orwaterways with the chemical or used containers.
