OXO Segment 2015

Ladies and Gentleman,

We’ve been building our experince in OXO segment for

over 65 years. During this time and of course nowadays

quality of our products has been a trademark recognised

and appreciated both by our customers and OXO industry.

Driven by motivation and belief put in us we are devoted to

continue working hard towards our development.

In January 2015 we have introduced a completely new

commercial strategy for the OXO segment. Since our

priority is to be close to our customers and serve them in

most efficient way we have replaced product based sales

operations with region based ones. Now every customer

has an area sales manager offering a complete portfolio of

Grupa Azoty ZAK OXO products.

Our goal is to respond to specific customer needs and this

extends to technology and products also. Together we will

initiate working groups focused on development of

products which will be put into production, e.g. specialty

esters for specific purposes.

2015 marks also a start-up of entirely new non-phthalate

plasticizer plant based on most modern technology in our

part of Europe. Our new plasticizer Oxoviflex™ is a first

general purpose non-phthalate plasticizer produced in

Poland and has already gained recognition both from our

customers and PARP (Polish Agenency of Enterprise

Development) gaining a prestigous Polish Product of the

Future prize.

tion and storage costs.

Mission / Vision

Capacities

1954Our experience in OXO products

dates back to 1954.

This is when we started production of

our first PVC plasticizer.

1963In 1963 we have started to produce

diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP).

It is known worldwide as Oxoplast® O.

OXO History

1986We have started-up a modern OXO alcohols plant

(2-Ethylhexanol, n-Butanol, Isobutanol) as well as

hydrogen and synthesis gas facilities.

The investment had been started in 1982

and employed Davy Process technology.

1996In co-operation with Davy Process

we commenced OXO plant modernization

aimed at increasing its capacity.

The process ended in November 1998.

1999We began production of

diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).

It was known as Oxoplast® IB.

2002We changed our internal structure

and a dedicated Oxoplast

Business Unit was created.

2010Observing trends and dynamic

changes in the market

we have introduced

a high molecular weight

phthalate plasticizer – DPHP.

It is known as Oxoplast® PH.

2011As one of the first in Europe

we developed a non-pthalate,

PTA based plasticizer

and put it to small scale production.

2013We decided to build

a large scale plant

for a non-pthalate,

PTA based plasticizer

(50 kT /year)

2014We have introduced

a new product brand - Oxoplast Medica®,

a plasticizer for medical purposes.

2015We have started-up a large scale plant

for a non-pthalate, PTA based plasticizer (50 kT /year).

The product has been introduced under Oxoviflex™ brand

Oxovifl ex™ is our response to

growing interest in pure

non-phathalate plasticizers

for PVC processing.

Oxovifl ex™ formulation is based on our 2-EH OXO alcohol and PTA which is also used

in PET bottles manufacturing.

Oxovifl ex™ is completely safe in terms of CLP classifi cation and in most cases it can

substitute phthalate plasticizers. Oxovifl ex™ is REACH registered according to EC regulation

No. 1907/2006.
