Vickers hardness testing at I kg mass (FIVI) was performed on a prepared cross-section of the
weldment, in accordan.i *itr ASTM E 92. All tests were performed at 1.5 mm below the surf-
ace; heat-affected zone tests were performed at 0'5 mm, 1.0 mm, and l '5 mm from the fusion
line. The results are tabulated below'
