Saturday, March 7

LET’S TALK. IMMIGRATION AND REFUGEE SERVICES 10:00am-12:00pm Sanctuary Come be educated beyond media sound bites and Facebook posts. Share in this important social concern with this opportunity to listen and ask questions of people at the front lines of this politically divisive issue.

Presenting will be Krish O’Mara Vignarajah, CEO of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS).

Krish has committed her career to public service because she knows how

differently life could have turned out. Her family escaped a country on the brink of civil war, came to this country with no jobs and $200, and built a life in Maryland.

Krish previously served in the White House as Policy Director for First Lady Michelle Obama and at the State Department as Senior Advisor under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of State John Kerry. Krish is a graduate from Woodlawn High School and Yale College. She was a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University.
