• This system provides supervisory control and data logging for: – Oil Supply Unit– Variable Frequency Drive– Subsea Multiphase Pump

• The system communicates with and logs data from the:– Subsea Control Module– Input and Output Power meters mounted

in the VFD enclosure.

Master Control System

• The system as scoped by Petrobras consists of a Visual Display Unit (VDU) with serves as the principle man machine interface for the system

• The VDU communicates with an Allen Bradley PLC which is the central control system for the SBMS-500 project

• The software interface will be “InTouchTM” by Wonderware®

Master Control System

• The PLC provides all of the data interface and control for the Oil Supply System

• The PLC communicates with the VFD over a MODBUS link. The VFD operates autonomously for motor control – Providing current limiting– Speed Change Ramp Rate– Volts/Hz control

• Start-up, Speed Change and Shut-down Signals Originate at the PLC
