In addition to Maturity and Adoptability, the S&I Framework considered:– Regulatory (MU, HIPAA, Other)– Usage Within S&I Framework

For each of the core domains (Maturity, Adoptability, Regulatory, Usage w/i S&I), the standards were grouped into:– Content and Structure– Transport and Security– Cross-Category– Vocabulary and Code Set

An S&I Framework Standards Evaluation Template was developed to identify candidate standards for an initiative and evaluate (score) candidate standards

Systematic review of candidate standards for S&I Framework Initiatives

Offers a way to document identified standards and consistently evaluate them based on defined criteria

Criteria depends on best assessment of reviewers; through review meetings, differences get resolved and a consensus rating achieved

Started to be applied with Structure Data Capture, Health eDecisions, QueryHealth Initiatives
