Rokko Kokusai Golf Club is a private golf club.
Rokko Kokusai Golf Club is recognized as one of the best golf courses in Japan.
It is some 15 kilometers from the city centre, conveniently located in Kobe City.
This spacious 36-hole course is laid out in a wide space surrounded by natural forest.
Rokko Kokusai Golf Club’s flat terrain gives it a graceful elegance.
The courses were originally designed by Japanese golf architect, Fukuichi Kato and
redesigned in 1996 by Nicklaus Design.
Rokko Kokusai Golf Club has 2 courses, the East course and the West course, which
has a quite different personality.
The tough layout combines difficulty and beauty throughout the 36 holes.
The beautifully curved fairways, undulating high-quality putting greens, and
strategically placed ponds and bunkers have created an attractive masterpiece in
Rokko Kokusai Golf Club.
The East course is a classic tough course, which is sophisticated and spacious, while
the West course, with its magnificent the Rokko mountains scenery, is more American
in style.
Both have a relatively flat and spacious layout, but they still require clear judgment as
to the most appropriate route to take.
Rokko Kokusai Golf Club has hosted many national events in the East course, most
famously the 1983 Japan Open Golf Championship and the 1999 Japan Senior Open
Golf Championship.
The club will host the international event, 2010 Asia-pacific open golf championship
Panasonic Open in September 2010.
