The Curriculum Norwegian International School prepares pupils from age 2 for wider international experience. Our curriculum is broad and includes elements of the English National Curriculum, together with the curricular standards of the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). For teaching and learning purposes, the school is divided into three sections: • Early Years (nursery, foundation and

reception classes) • Primary (Key Stages 1 and 2) • Secondary (Key Stages 3 and 4)

2

Early Years Our highly skilled educators use a coherent and flexible approach to facilitate young children’s progress through the seven areas of learning and development: personal, social and emotional achievement; communication and language; physical development; literacy; numeracy; understanding the world; and expressive art and design. Primary (Key Stages 1 and 2) We combine the talents of class teachers and specialist teachers to provide a range of learning experiences of high standard.
