2. Shakespeare FACTS should be things that have been/can be proven. o Ex: “In 1564 England had a population of between three million and five million – much less than the

three hundred years earlier…” (22). This was a result of the plague. 3. Shakespeare MYSTERIES are those details that people are unsure about or cannot be proven. These details cause

doubt or confusion o Ex: His birth date is uncertain since he was born under the old Julian calendar: “…what was April 23 to

Shakespeare would to us today be May 3” (25).
