1. OUTLOOK OVER HTTP
1.1 PURPOSE
To be able to connect Outlook to the email server without VPN
1.2 STEP-1 – OPEN ACCOUNT SETTINGS
Open the MS Outlook 2003/2007. Click on Tools and Accounts Setting menu option. If you are using MS Outlook 2003, go to Step‐2 otherwise jump directly to Step‐3.

Click on “View or change existing Account Setting” radio button as shown below and then click “Next”.

Double‐Click on your Visionet email account – generally set as “Microsoft Exchange” of Account type “Exchange”

1.6 STEP5 – EXCHANGE PROXY SETTINGS
Click on “Connections” tab, select the “Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP” checkbox, and then click the “Exchange Proxy Settings” button.

1.7 STEP6 – SPECIFY MAIL SERVER URL
Configure the settings as mentioned below. 1. Specify the URL “mail.visionetsystems.com” under Connection settings as shown below 2. Select the “Connect Using SSL only” option. 3. Select “Basic Authentication” under Proxy authentication settings. 4. Click “OK”, save your changes and restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.

2. ACCESS ARCHIVED EMAILS VIA GFI MAIL ARCHIVER
2.1 OVERVIEW
VisionetSystems colleagues can use GFI MailArchiver for accessing their Emails. Most of the colleagues
have configured this utility in their Outlook. That will also be accessible from external network without
dialing VPN.
The URL for accessing GFI Mail-Archive from Web Browser is https://mailarchive.visionetsystems.com/MailArchiver
(or https://archives.visionetsystems.com/MailArchiver).
2.2 GFI MAILARCHIVER SETTINGS IN OUTLOOK
Right Click on your GFI MailArchiver Mailbox and select Properties and then select Advanced, please use
the public URL for the URL of GFI MailArchiver server: https://mailarchive.visionetsystems.com/MailArchiver
and select OK to save changes.
