INTERNATIONAL TRADE LAW – SY 2015-2016 (for Friday class) COURSE GUIDELINE Course Materials - International Trade Law materials, Free Trade Agreements,Regional Trade Agreements - Multilateral Trade Agreements Course objective - Develop a broad understanding of the law and policy related with international trade - To produce high quality student papers on specialized topics. Method of Instruction - Lecture, class discussion, recitation and submission of pocket research papers - Failure to submit pocket research paper is equivalent to the grade of 68 on Midterm grade - Failure to submit final research paper on the final examination is equivalent to 68 on the Final grade Evaluation - Midterm Exam + Student Pocket Research Papers = Midterm Grade 30% - Recitation + Attendance = Class Standing 30% - Final Written Exam + Final Research Paper = Final Exam 40% MIDTERM GRADE + CLASS STANDING +FINAL GRADE = FINAL GRADE Policy on Plagiarism - Plagiarism means the taking and using another person’s thoughts, ideas or writings and passing them off as one’s own. The instructor considers the act of plagiarising to be an academic transgression, which include: Unauthorized use or close imitation of the work of another person, including a fellow student by adapting or incorporating it in the research paper without due acknowledgement; Unauthorized use of a text by incorporating them in a research paper without due acknowledgement; Collaborating with another student about a research work and representing that as individual work; Intentionally making, fabricating, falsifying or misstating data which relied upon for the purposes of writing the research paper; and Submitting same or alike research paper twice unless prior approval has been obtained from the professors of both subjects. Attendance Attendance is MANDATORY during the Lecture and submission of the pocket research paper.
