Week…

Week 19-23rd of January - Our Topic is

“Toys and Games” – Week 1

The children will learn about the different toys and games we play, making their own puppets,

rockets, building blocks, puzzles etc. Build A Bear workshop will be visiting the school for an

extra ordinary experience of bear making. Participating children will get to take their cuddly

friend home on the day their session is scheduled.

They will be also taking part in various actives & sessions during the week in relation to topic.

KG1 Activity Sessions: 1. Introduction to Toys

4. Building Blocks.

KG2 Activity Sessions:

1. Discovering new Toys

2. Parachute games

6:30am Sibling Bus to Primary.

6:45am Early drop off, children will be supervised in the garden, please sign your child in

before leaving them.

7:25am Classrooms open for Registration.

1:00pm Lessons End.

Late pick up until 1:30pm.

After School Clubs for Term TWO (Spring Term) we will be:

1. Phonics & Introduction to Blending - Mondays

2. Arabic Language - Tuesdays

3. Physical Education & Games – Wednesdays

The Clubs schedule is now available to view on Parents Information Board, please check, and

ring or visit school office to book your child’s slot asap.

Please Note: All Clubs are now full and there are no more slots available for this term, you may still put

your child name on waiting list in case someone pulls out.

Story of the

Week

“Tess and Bess in the snow”;

Story of the week takes place every Sunday morning, we gather each

year group in the Hall to share the experience of Story Telling. OBJECTIVE: is to teach the children to listen attentively and interact;

respond to what they have heard and seen within a bigger group session.

Reading Books

Early Literacy Programme has NOW started for KG2

KG1 coming soon!

Your child will be borrowing a different book every Thursday of the

week where he/she can take home to read and bring back to school by

Tuesday for Replacement.

Early Literacy aims to help students develop emotional intelligence, imagination and

creatively; it supports the growth and development of the student personality and social

skills.

Events

Build the Bear workshop: build the Bear will be visiting the school on Tuesday, Wednesday

and Thursday the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of January, detailed letter were sent home yesterday.

Orientation Day: The Primary school will be holding an Orientation Day for KG2 parents

On Saturday the 25th January from 10:00am – 12:00pm, invitation letters have been

sent home today with your child, please register your interest if you wish to attend.

Colour Day: Thursday 30th of January, our Colour day will be BLUE, kindly dress your child in

something blue to celebrate the end of the month with us.

Physical Education

Every Thursday, the Arabic language workbook/ notes will be sent with the child to

do some of the required tasks at home. Please send back the notes with him/her

every Sunday of the following week.

Note: The Arabic language homework is set in the Arabic notes.

REMINDER:-

Uniform; Please ensure that school uniform or PE clothes are worn everyday during the school

day.

Drop off; For the safety of your child, children must not be left at the gate or in the

building/ reception with no adult supervision, he/she must be dropped in classroom if arriving

on or after 7:25.

Teachers: will be available to answer any queries or questions you may have every Sunday to

Thursday from 1:00 to 2:30pm, you may set an appointment or call them on school office.

Term 2 Fees: The school is now colleting Term 2 Fees, should you wish to make a payment

please visit the school office, ONLY CASH payment accepted in Kindergarten, if wish to pay

by debit/ credit card please visit the primary campus, if you prefer to pay via bank transfer
