2 Positioning2.1 Placement within the GEZE Portfolio
The automatic swing door systems from GEZE make passing through a door easier every time when manu-al opening is too hard or inconvenient. They are recommended in public as well as in private buildings, when convenience, accessibility, safety and hygiene are necessary or when energy has to be saved.The electromechanical swing door drive ECturn is re-commended for single-leaf smaller internal and entrance doors of up to 125 kilogram with moderate access frequency. In addition, the ECturn Inside enab-les an “invisible” door automation. The electromechanical swing door drive Slimdrive EMD is suitable for single and double-leaf doors of up to 230 kilogram, slim profiles and small spaces. The approved electrohydraulic swing door drive TSA 160 NT opens and closes narrow doors of up to 310 kilogram safely and reliably.
The electromechanical swing door drive Powerturn provides a high function and design variety. The ro-bust, efficient drive opens single and double-leaf large and heavy doors with leaf weights of up to 300 kilo-gram quietly and reliably. With its 7-cm-optics, it fits in every door design. Thanks to the Smart swing func-tion, even manual door-opening is child‘s play.
The Powerturn is a portfolio expansion, the drive ran-ges ECturn, Slimdrive EMD and TSA NT are still provided. The Powertun significantly expands the ap-plication range of GEZE automatic swing door systems.

Smart swing • The spring that ensures the safe closing of the drive in the event of fire is preloaded and kept in this position• It then does not need to be permanently moved during use• This allows even large and heavy doors to be manually opened by anyone with ease• This means that the drive is always the “master of the situation” and closes safely in the event of fire• The Smart swing function also reduces energy costs – in the “permanent hold-open position” as well as in operation
GEZE Installation System • Installation is straightforward, effortless and safe as the drive is simply clicked into the already connected mounting plate, moved into place and secured• All plug areas and connections are comfortably accessible from the front• Plugs can be inserted in an installation support for cabling• The drive can be put into operation and serviced with a professional jack solution without the covering having to be removed thanks to an external service interface• Commissioning takes no time at all due to the manual teaching run

Prestigious entrance areas, multifunctional security doors or reliable emergency exits: the Powerturn swing door drive is a clever solution for all installation situations and whatever the mode of operation, ma-king it a perfect example of “Universal Design - made in Germany”. It even opens large heavy doors with leaf widths of up to 1,600 millimetres or leaf weights of up to 300 kg and due to its height of just seven centime-tres it fits perfectly in every design. The drive is also a
flexible and future-proof system component. Whe-ther in combination with door control units such as the GEZE TZ 320, which is used to monitor emergency exits, as fresh air opening in smoke and heat extrac-tion systems or for natural ventilation as well as part of a complex security interlocking door system: the new GEZE swing door drive is not only a robust spe-cialist but also a true team player.

The Powerturn can be used in low-energy mode.The following adjustments are necessary:

Mounting types
The Powerturn's one drive system also allows for six different types of installation. This reduces ware-housing costs and simplifies the installation process for sub-contractors due to the easy GEZE installation system.

Whether in combina-tions with door control units such as the GEZE TZ 320 which is used for monitoring emergency exit doors with network function, or as part of a complex interlo-
cking door system: the Powerturn is not only a powerful specialist but also a true team-player. As a system supplier with a crossproduct portfolio, GEZE also fulfils all kinds of special requirements – tailor-made and customised.
