Who knew that out of a small community centre basement in Toronto would grow the world’s largest chain of comedy clubs? Yuk Yuk’s founder Mark Breslin opened his first official Yuk Yuk’s in downtown Toronto in 1976. Over 30 years later Yuk Yuk’s now has 16 venues and growing in almost every major city across Canada. Many comedians have developed their act within the walls of Yuk Yuk’s and have become international comedy stars. Howie Mandel, Jim Carrey, Rick Moranis, Tom Green, Norm MacDonald and Russell Peters are just a few. Some of the biggest names in US comedy history have performed on our stages, including; Jerry Seinfeld, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Tim Allen and Gilbert Gottfried.
