RESPECT LIFE

Help rebuild the culture of life during this time when the culture of

death appears to have the upper hand….

If you can’t end an international crisis, you can calm a family one.

If you can’t send relief to refugees, you can provide a meal for a

shut-in.

If you can’t cure anthrax, you can drive someone to the doctor.

If you can’t end abortion you can pray at a clinic or at home.

If you can’t end war, you can love your neighbor.

(editorial, the Catholic Standard and Times, Philadelphia.)

On the Wednesday of February break the temperature hit 60 de-grees in Syracuse! What a week it was, except if you’ve planned a Horse drawn sleigh ride through the woods at Highland Forest for your youth group. The past 4 years, our YIM members have experi-enced subzero temperatures, snow blinding storms and freezing fingers and toes on our sleigh rides. This year, it was a wagon – not a sleigh; it was a balmy 47 degrees at night – not -14degrees and it was so much fun! The stars were amaz-ing! Three of us saw a shooting star race across the sky with a red tail! Priceless! Our YIM enjoyed tacos-in-a-bag, played Train Dominoes and some die-hard SU fans watched the SU game streamed on a cell phone. The game was beyond exciting, the horses were our favorite and the fun was well deserved. This night was purely for fun and friendship. A huge thanks to all our adults who drove and helped chaperone – it was the perfect February break adventure!

Bible Study

God reveals himself to us through the Bible. We come to know Him

and ourselves better when we study the Word. Sr. Brigid O’Mahoney

apply it to our lives. No experience is necessary– we encourage

everyone to join us. Bring a bible- bring a friend!

The next meeting will be March 11th. Where? The Media Room.

Please consider bringing a friend and joining us!

Family Movie Night - A Great Success!

We had a wonderful turnout for our Family Movie Night view-ing of "UP"! Parents and children (in PJs) enjoyed this de-lightful movie while they snacked on popcorn, cheesy nachos, pretzel rods, dots and of course, chocolates. We turned the Media Room into our own private movie theater with lots of space to spread out a sleeping bag or blanket. We plan on having another Family Movie Night very soon. Look for our

next event in the bulletin.
