Baptism: Classes in English are on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Please call the office to register for a class. After attending class, the baptism date is to be scheduled through the parish office. Marriage: Couples need to schedule a meeting with the priest at least six months before the proposed marriage date to begin the necessary preparations for the sacrament of marriage.

Today, we bring the joyful Easter season to a close with the celebration of Pentecost. Jesus fulfills his promise to send the Holy Spirit upon his apostles. While this would truly have been an impressive sight to see, we know Jesus didn’t do things for show; he did them, “for us and our salvation.” The gift of the Spirit continues to enliven us toward salvation: through the Church, the sacraments and life. It continues to keep Christ’s work alive in the world today through us. If we haven’t thanked the Holy Spirit recently, today would be a good to begin. Being attentive and open to the Spirit’s power in our lives is a sure way to ensure that we are doing what Christ asks of us.

Why is our Diocese conducting the

Idaho Catholic Appeal? Each year, the Bishop asks each and every one of the more than 170,000 Catholics liv-ing in Idaho to participate in the Appeal. He asks us to generously support the on-going ministries of the Church that provide educa-tional, pastoral, and charitable outreach to those living in the Diocese. The Idaho Cath-olic Appeal provides about 70 percent of the support needed to fund the diocesan ministries each year. The other funding comes from parish assessments, fees for services, investment income and grants, and other donations.
