Mercy of God

The Mercy of God is the motto of his holiness Pope Francis. Throughout his episcopate

and papacy he emphasizes on the Divine Mercy of God. Mercy and Forgiveness is be-

stowed to those who seek it with sincere repentance. The Gospel this Sunday speaks about

the three parables of God’s Mercy. The lost Sheep, the lost Coin and the Prodigal Son are

three different stories which teach us of God searching if we are lost.

Saint Faustina in her diary said we need to approach the fountain of Mercy. This is a con-

tinuous action of God’s salvation to humanity. We, the redeemed humanity, are invited to

approach Jesus, so the completion of our pilgrimage to heaven will be successful. Every

time we commit ourselves to do good and go to confession, heaven rejoices as this is what

the Gospel teaches this Sunday at Mass.

OLM will host a 3-day Parish Mission in the Chapel from Sunday, October 13 – Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30PM, each session lasting for 50 minutes. The Parish Mission is for anyone who wants to know Jesus more and invigorate their faith. Arise Together in Christ: Season 3 of the Arise program is titled, “In the Footsteps of Christ” will meet 6 times during Sept/Oct/Nov. If you are interested in attending, but haven’t attended the last 2 sessions, you are not behind and are encour-aged to attend.
