My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

The Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is almost here!

Although I know we have been advertising the events planned for our

celebrations for awhile now, I would like to highlight a few and

encourage everyone to plan to be with us. It’s going to be great!

This year we begin our celebrations with our Parish Festival. The

festival runs from Thursday, the 6th, to Sunday, the 9th. There will be

plenty of rides and games and some of our best food – get your

Megaband soon; they are only available before the Festival opens. We

will have entertainment throughout the Festival so come have fun, relax,

and enjoy each other’s company – and don’t forget to check out the

White Elephant Sale in St. Bernadette Hall! Ride bands and raffle tickets

are available at Carnival Central at the entrance to the Church, in the

Holy Boutique, and in the Parish Office.

Our Sunday Masses, February 9th, will all be in honor of Our Lady of

Lourdes. Sunday night at the close of the festival we will have the

$10,000.00 raffle drawing as well as the drawing for the Century Club

winner. The Century Club is for those who have sold $100 in raffle

tickets and includes a free entry in a drawing for $1000. It’s not too late

to sell your tickets and get an entry in the Century Club raffle!

On Monday the 10th we will have a special presentation in the parish hall

by our volunteers who served at Lourdes last summer. I can tell you it

was a powerful experience for them. Finally, Tuesday the 11th is the

actual feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes and we will celebrate a Healing

Mass with the Sacrament of the Sick at 7:00 p.m. Following Mass we

will have the Lourdes candlelight procession to the Grotto. Please be

sure to join us especially that night and invite those who are sick and

those caring for the sick to join us – it is always a blessed occasion.

It is going to be a great week. See you there!

Mi Querida Familia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes,

¡La Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes ya casi está aquí!

Aunque sé que hemos estado haciendo publicidad de los eventos

planificados para nuestras celebraciones por un tiempo, me gustaría

destacar algunos y animar a todos a planificar para estar con nosotros.

¡Será estupendo!

Este año comenzamos nuestra celebración con nuestro Festival

Parroquial. El Festival se celebrará del jueves 6 al domingo 9. Habrá un

montón de atracciones y juegos, y algunos de nuestros mejores alimentos

- adquiera su Megaband pronto, sólo están disponibles antes de que el

Festival abra.

Tendremos entretenimiento durante todo el Festival así que venga a

divertirse, relajarse, y disfrutar de la compañía del otro - ¡y no se olvide

de revisar la venta del Elefante Blanco en el salón Santa Bernardita! Los

Megabands y boletos de la rifa están disponibles en el Centro de

Carnaval a la entrada de la Iglesia, en la Tiendita, y en la Oficina

Parroquial.

Nuestras misas dominicales del 9 de febrero, serán todas en honor de

Nuestra Señora de Lourdes. El domingo por la noche en la clausura del

Festival tendremos la rifa de $10,000.00, así como la rifa para el ganador

de Century Club. El Century Club es para aquellos que han vendido 100

dólares en boletos de rifa, e incluye una entrada gratuita en el sorteo de

$1000. ¡No es demasiado tarde para vender sus boletos y entrar en el

sorteo del Century Club!

El lunes el 10 tendremos una presentación especial en el salón parroquial

de nuestros voluntarios que sirvieron en Lourdes el pasado verano. Les

puedo decir que fue una experiencia poderosa para ellos. Finalmente, el

martes 11 es el día de la fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes y vamos a

celebrar una Misa de sanación con el Sacramento de los Enfermos a las

7:00 pm. Después de la Misa tendremos la procesión de las velas a la

Gruta de Lourdes. Por favor, asegúrese de unirse a nosotros en especial

esa noche e invitar a los que están enfermos y a los que cuidan a los

enfermos a unirse a nosotros - es siempre una ocasión bendita.

Philip Course in English The School of Evangelization (SOE) of Our Lady of Lourdes will be offering

the Philip Course, a wonderful weekend retreat, in English. This course is the beginning of a journey in which the objective is to develop evangelizers &

carry out the Church’s mission. An evangelizer must be a witness - someone who has had a personal encounter with the Living Jesus Christ and His Holy

Spirit. We invite you to renew and deepen your personal relationship with Jesus Christ on Friday, February 28, 7:00-10:00 PM / Saturday, March 1, 8:00-4:30 PM
