Get ready for OLG's second annual Tech for Life Week! This year we will be exploring all things tech the week of April 1. If you work in the tech industry, or use technology as a primary part of your job, we would like to invite you to come talk about it with our junior high students on Wednesday, April 3. You will be sharing how you use technology in your job, how the technology has changed your job, how to get into your field, etc. Sharing will occur within 30 minute rotations, from either 8:30-10:30 or 11-12:30. If you're interested, please email Ms. Harmuth at [email protected] We look forward to hearing from you!
Best of Parents Press The Best of Parents' Press was born with the idea to give readers throughout the Bay Area a chance to voice their opinions on their personal "Best" choices for everything kids and family. The program has evolved over the years, and hopefully, with a lot of input from our readers, we've been able to make it better and better. The voting for Best of Parents' Press is conducted in a two-round process. The first round occurs in the month of March with open write-in nominations taking place. In addition, to open write-ins, selected past winners are also listed to make selecting them easier. As more and more nominations come in, the most written-in
entities become automatically selectable and listed among the past winners. This makes it easier and easier for people to cast their nominations. And write-in nominations continue to be open until the end of the month. As the nomination period in the first round comes to a close at the end of March, shortly after, the second round opens with the top nominees in each category being selectable in this final round of voting during the month of April. Write-in nominations are no longer available, and voters are open to select their favorite from among those that are listed. The final winners are posted in the July issue of Parents' Press Copy & Paste Link to Vote: http://parentspress.com/best-of-parents-press-alameda-county.html#//
