They enable him to continue to be a normal, active student and athlete. Alex is excited about the Bluetooth capability and the programming that includes the option of filtering out background noises in places like the gymnasium. This will make it easier for Alex to play his favorite sport, basketball! We are grateful for the generosity of the HIKE Fund!

She was very excited to receive her hearing aid & show her friends at school. We cannot thank the Hike Fund/Job’s Daughters enough.

Job’s Daughters International

Job’s Daughters International is a leadership and service organization for young women between the ages of 10 and 20, where they learn democratic principles in running their own meetings and planning their own activities. Members belong to local groups in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Philippines and

The HIKE Fund, Inc. strives to have a seamless

and transparent process for children who apply

for a grant. The estimated time from receipt of completed application to award presentation is approximately 4 months.

The application can be downloaded from our website. With the application, we request

additional documents: - Federal income tax return

(pages 1 and 2 from the last year)- Recent pay stub for each wage earner- Recent audiogram- Itemized cost quotation from the supplier

When the funds are available and the award has been granted, the check (made payable to the supplier) will be sent to a local Job’s Daughters International representative for presentation. The check will be sent to the family if a presentation cannot be scheduled.

The purpose of The HIKE Fund, Inc. is to provide hearing devices for children with hearing loss between the ages of newborn to twenty (20) years whose parents are unable to meet this special need financially. We provide approximately 100 awards each year.

We are an inclusive, non-discriminatory organization and welcome applications from any eligible child and family with verified prescriptions from an audiologist or physician.

The HIKE Fund, Inc. is led by a Board of Directors, which is composed of individuals from the fields of Business, Education, Public Health, Audiology, Labor, Law, and Medicine.

Grants have been awarded for many types of assistive hearing devices, including hearing aids, FM systems, closed caption converters, tactile units, and alerting systems.
