Our Hope for the Future
At this historic time of growth highlighted by the construction of a first-rate Academy Center, we would be honored to gain your support in our mission to create opportunity for motivated students in need throughout Northeast Ohio. This campaign will ensure that we have the resources necessary to sustain a dramatic increase in the depth and frequency of programming provided to each of the hundreds of young people we serve throughout the greater Cleveland and Akron communities. An investment in our small-but-mighty organization will illuminate this campus as a beacon of hope in Northeast Ohio for decades to come by providing a sustained pathway of upward mobility for hundreds of children living in chronic poverty. Simply put, we are determined to deliver best-in-class opportunities and long-term partnerships to the exceptional kids we serve each day. Won’t you join with us in this life-saving, hope-filled mission?
Year after year, the simple idea of breaking the cycle of poverty by providing high-possibility children from poverty with a decade of partnership and opportunity continues to grow because of faithful investors in our mission. We would be truly proud and deeply grateful to count you among our partners as we work to not only raise the life-trajectory for the 175 Scholars of today, but the hundreds of hope-filled young people who will experience this ‘home away from home’ in the years and decades ahead.
Tim Grady Executive Director

OUR HOPE FOR THE FUTURE CAMPAIGN BUDGET
Since 1989, Boys Hope Girls Hope has operated as a privately funded non-profit, relying on the NEO Community’s belief in a place that consistently transforms young people’s lives. Despite contin-ued growth from a single home in the 1990’s to the 5+ acre campus of today, our audited financials demonstrate a strong history of excellent fiscal management and controls highlighted by a $4M endowment, zero debt and a balanced operating budget for the past 10 years.
Pathways, Driveways, Parking | $550K
Furnishings & Equipment | $300K
Property Acquisition & Site
Academy Center Construction | $6M
Individual Gifts | $3.3M
Federal New MarketTax Credit Equity| $1.6M
Corporate & Foundation Gifts | $1.6M
To date, $6.5M has been committed to the comprehensive $8M Our Hope for the Future Campaign. Along with a separate $500K request currently pending with a local foundation,
a $1M investment is still needed and will carry us across our campaign goal-line, securing a 100% debt-free campus for generations of Scholars to live, learn and grow.
BHGH OPERATING BUDGET: THE VIRTUOUS (& BALANCED!) CYCLE OF HOPE
Remaining Goal | $1.5M
Prep | $750K
The Academy Center and the connection of our 2.5-acre Residential Campus with our newly
acquired 2.83-acre Academy Campus will together create our unified 5+ acre Campus of Hope.
Complete with robust outdoor and indoor wellness opportunities, and much-needed space to
share with our neighbors and the broader community, this entire campus will be an incubator for
creating opportunities for our young Scholars. A shared passion for the power of long term
holistic development opportunities for youth will ensure that there is always an address in
Northeast Ohio where community values and lasting relationships can be found by
kids who need them the most.
THE CAMPUS OF HOPE
“With our expanded Campus of Hope we are able to provide even more talented young people with the resources and security to dream and achieve. We are a place of hope and opportunity, our Scholars’ calm port in an often stormy world”

Overview – January, 2019
Late in 2014, the Boys Hope Girls Hope leadership embarked on a five-year capacity building effort aimed growing the depth and scope of our mission in a sustainable manner. A successful first phase [2015-2016] resulted in a clarified program vision, implementation of operational management systems and was com-plemented by $2.1M in endowment focused gifts. In 2017, our capital campaign began with an $8M capital project designed to provide our Scholars with a first-rate facility where they could come to work on their dreams year-round. Construction of the Rajan Acdaemy Center began in June, 2018 and is slated to open to Scholars and Families in June, 2019. With 100% of construction funds for the Rajan Center secured and construction well underway, we have initiated the final phase of our campaign, the implementation of our Campus Master Plan. Our campus master plan will meld our new and old properties together, creating a unique campus will serve as a ‘home away from home’ for all of our Scholars, and an anchor in the broader community for generations to come.
