Through PolioPlus, Rotary’s mostambitious program to date, Rotary hasplayed a leadership role with the WorldHealth Organization, the U.S. Centersfor Disease Control and Prevention,and UNICEF in bringing the world tothe brink of polio eradication. Rotary’sENDPOLIONOW campaign promotespublic awareness and fundraising forthe program. The Bill & MelindaGates Foundation has given Rotary$355 million in challenge grants tosupport PolioPlus, and has pledged upto $35 million per year more through2018 for the final push to eradicate thedisease worldwide.
