CALL TO WORSHIP Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Praise the Lord! The Lord’s name be praised. Alleluia! Amen. * HYMN 232 “Jesus Christ Is Risen Today” * PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty God, in raising Jesus from the grave, you shattered the power of sin and death. We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear, bound by the ways that lead to death. We overlook the poor and the hungry, and pass by those who mourn; we are deaf to the cries of the oppressed, and indifferent to calls for peace; we despise the weak, and abuse the earth you made. Forgive us, God of mercy. Help us to trust your power to change our lives and make us new, that we may know the joy of life abundant given in Jesus Christ, the risen Lord. Amen.
(Pause for a moment of silent confession)

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING
One Spirit ~ Different Gifts
We made it halfway to our goal of $6000. Can we make it to the second half in a week? I know the Lord is hoping we came through for his children. Our gifts are many and the need to share is great. If you have not remembered to be part of the “party”, please do so this week and watch our presents grow even more. Thank you to all who have already taken part in this special collection. Total OGHS donations through 3/20/16 are $2,983, or 49.7% of the $6,000 goal.
Tour Historic Local Churches 1:30-6:30 pm Sunday, April 24
Depart by bus (or car) from Derry Presbyterian Church to visit Paxton Presbyterian Church, see the exterior and tour the grounds of the John Elder home in Harrisburg, travel to Donegal Pres-byterian Church, then return to Derry Church for a concluding presentation. Weather permitting, participants will be able to tour the church cemeteries.
For those interested in riding on the bus from Derry Church, there will be a charge for transporta-tion. RSVP by Sunday, April 17 to Jack Henderson: [email protected]
